What does a commuter do on weekends he does not commute?

Schedule 6 flights to nowhere and back! ;)

I just booked my Vegas accommodation for January. I'll be attending New Media Expo at the Rio & I was able to pick up a room for $114 AUD a night. In the process, I earned some Velocity points because I used my VM card & VFF's new partnership with Agoda.

I might have some more energy for Vegas this time because it will be at the start of my trip & not the end this time. Plus I'll actually know people there this time.

Today's the day for Homer Jay!

After receiving a letter in the mail yesterday telling me I'm not diabetic (hooray for the personal touch!), I got the letter giving me another 12 months of medical clearance.

I also got my Velocity Global Wallet. The prepaid Visa card is valid for 12 months & I'm wondering if they'll send me a Gold one when I go gold after my Melbourne trip at the end of this month.

I also got my bitthday voucher from the RSL. 1 free beer or softie, $5 worth of raffle tickets & $5 off a car wash. Gee thanks! ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1375512949.524499.jpg

I remember the days when my Amex card use to pay ATO points:(

Aw, you can still do it. Just that the rate of return is considerably less now. ;)

Have some sympathy for some of the rest of us who cannot / could not churn their Amex accounts with ATO payments for super points balances. :(

Of course, maybe not me, because I've always had a refund on all my previous tax returns. :o

... She was a total babe and chugged Emily's Run the whole time ...
It is rare that I have no more than a remote idea of what an unfamiliar phrase might mean, but this is one of them.

I tried googling it but quickly closed that page.
Anyone care to enlighten?

Is it just me or are there a lot of posts missing from earlier about coke cans & the like?

I'm using the app.

The days aren't all cloudy ;) Due to some sage advice from the wise members of AFF - I've learnt that some of the cards that have been stashed in my undies draw - still pay a tidy dividend  However, after many years.......I feel a strange lost with the now useless Ult card:(

I've probably been living under a rock but when I was shopping today, I spotted Emma & Tom's Quencher with benefits.

I've heard about friends with benefits (but not had one myself) but what I presume is fruit juice with benefits?

So this is Launceston.

First time I have driven a hybrid car. First time I have driven a car with a camera for reversing.

Freezing a little for me though....

I drove a hybrid for the first time in London. The lack of noise was scary.

In Maidstone in the same car, I drove into what I thought was a shared zone. A local ranger informed me that I was in fact in the centre of a pedestrian mall. Unusually for an English area like that, there were no bollards or signs. The English love a good bollard.

Instead of letting me drive forward & out off the mall, the ranger insisted I reverse out. I hate reversing at the best of times but moreso in a car that produces no noise. Lucky for me, the ranger guided me out.

LOL, reminds me of the time when I was working in Sydney Tower and I noticed an odd car driving on the perimeter road towards Botany Bay, it turned out to be an Italian family fairly new to Australia that thought Runway 16/34 was a nice spot for a picnic.

It isn't? LOL.
