When we have a drinks do in MEL the person with the hotel room hosts the after party event. ;)

Let us know when you're in town and we'll see if we can meet up.

Well I'll be the one with the hotel room! ;)

Looks like I might need a bigger room!

I have no hotel status anywhere & usually don't go any higher than a Mantra.

I arrive on VA 858 on 20/8 & leave on VA 869 (how can I forget that flight number?) on the 27/8. I'm doing a status run MEL - DRW - MEL on the 22/8 but apart from that, I'm free any day/night.

Flicking through the TV channels stopped on one just as the host said to this very attractive blonde lady " I'm sorry you are not top hooker"

Lol I nearly fell off my chair then they started talking about fishing :)

Mel is always good for shenanigans! Staying in flinders lane right now with degreaves 10 meters away.

Il Bacaro - beautiful Il Bacaro

Breakfast

Issus Cafe & Bar - bare bones classic "Melbourne Lane" style dining....chock a block full of ambience and people.

The European - best baked eggs I've ever eaten  Lovely old style setting European Menu :: The European Restaurant Spring Street Melbourne well worth the visit.

The ads for that show are bizarre. One challenge seems to be getting in a swimming pool full of guppies. One of the contestants was scoping up mouths full of water and fish to deposit in their collection box.

Another one seems to involve a high speed zip line over a lake. They have a hand net to scope out a fish as they fly over.

For the first time in a fortnight, I can truly relax. Mum's home from hospital & settled back in at home.

There's some follow up to do before I leave for Melbourne but she's 1000% better than over the last 2 weeks.

Thanks again for everyone here who sent messages of support.

Just tried the duty free single malt that has 59% alcohol content, whoa!
Better pan fry the steaks, I think the naked flame from the BBQ could be dangerous if my breath is anywhere near :shock:.

Stêaks Suzette ??

We mainly fill ourselves with awesome Vegetarian fare when in Melbourne, so can't help you too much with fine dining.

For a good coffee though just head through Degreaves St, flinders lane and centre place and pick one! There are some gems!

That's exactly what we had tonight, a must do when in Melbourne! We also got a chance to check out the new Ascot Vale branch of Mister Nice guy, sweet overload!

I won't be back til Oct so tomorrow morning is my last chance for a lord of the fries brekky.

We just bought some single malt for the youngest son. His requirements? 10 years + and starting with Glen. The oldest son wanted some Bacardi with the weirdest name but alcohol around that 58% mark too. Rocket fuel.

Both ridiculously cheap in Singapore. Moët for me? Prices not all that great.

Bacardi 151? That is rocket fuel. I once was shouted some shots of it at a nightclub by the owners son... Burned on the way down and really was a poor choice.
