Burning the candle at both ends?
Let me go and view that thread before I answer.
IMHO Brekky Creek is over rated and also over priced
Had a steak there yesterday and happy to report they did a good job. Been a while since I'd had one there and they did a good job, so I was happy to part with my money this time.
Not pleased at all. I could not believe what I was hearing. It was only later that I saw what she was wearing.Bearing in mind you've often advocated that societies dress standards are slipping, is this not a classic case where (wear!) the individual has met your requirements? you should be pleased by them.
So, quick, end-of-speech advice: Since, according to me, your life is going to be a gradual process of becoming kinder and more loving: Hurry up. Speed it along. Start right now.
Been using it sine the mid 90's - it has had better days.I have certainly seen Breakfast Creek's prices creep up and the quality creep down in recent years.
However, the steak I had on Saturday was excellent. I paid $40 and had it with chips.

Simple fact is it's handy to the Airport.
Norman's "The Worlds Worst Vegetarian" restaurant is generally better, but it's maybe 20-25 minutes more travelling time each way.

The Norman is owned by the same mob as the Brekky Creek, or somehow associated. It's certainly a more pleasing set up.
We were down there a couple of weekends ago....two dinners and two breakfast.
Dinner
Spice Temple - really good Spice Temple Melbourne very busy!
Il Bacaro - beautiful Il Bacaro
Breakfast
Issus Cafe & Bar - bare bones classic "Melbourne Lane" style dining....chock a block full of ambience and people.
The European - best baked eggs I've ever eaten Lovely old style setting European Menu :: The European Restaurant Spring Street Melbourne well worth the visit.
Was in the early days but since the 80s both have been owned by different companies, although Cavills had a lease on the Bc for a while. Now ALH own BC while the Norman is owned by the Indpendant pub group.
Cavs at Labrador was also owned by the Cavill family at some stage
Well I managed to book Il Bacaro and Rockpool in the end so we'll see how they go, I reckon Rockpool is going to be overpriced but its not like I'm eating there every night.

Don't worry. If you don't like the weather when you visit, just wait 10 minutes.Hey, Melbourne! Please be keeping your dogs & poles to yourselves!
