I live near Aust Zoo and there was some band and some celeb at the Zoo and there where girls hanging around with signs, Not today but a few months ago.

Although we live in the Northside where the Brisbane Entertainment Centre is located, we are thankfully far enough from the scene of the action so we're pretty indifferent from all the hubbub.

They stayed at the Sofitel last (?) time they were in Brisbane. An absolute zoo. I'm happy they are in Australia as I have no chance of running into them and their crazy oversexed teenage fans.

Sounds like you are a closet 1D fan Mal...

Didn't know you lived close to there. We went to Eumundi today. That place was a zoo. Well, not that you'd expect different for markets, but finding a parking spot was a challenge.

Don't worry - all major cities around the world get their turn. All you have to do is either (a) be away from the scenes of the action, or (b) be away from the city when they come along.

It happens in a city when any major act comes to town. Of course, it's easier to deal with hordes of somewhat older fans of Fleetwood Mac rather than oversexed, zealous and - dare I say, b****y - fans of One Direction.

I live about 500 metres as the crow flys from Australia Zoo,

Have bumped into the Irwin's having dinner at the local pub they just sit there and have dinner and no one annoys them.

Little Miss Simo was sitting next to Bob playing Video games in the kids room.

Bob also was playing on the play ground equipment as well

There's nothing 'closet' about me :D

(and I don't like 1D at all).

I had to share a tube once with 1D fans (the joys of Jubilee line going past the 02 in London). Uggh. Scary!

I like Eumundi but it is always so freakin hot there!

SA did it better. They stayed in the Barossa Valley and spared us the pain. However I think we are just getting old and grumpy. Their popularity is no different to other international bands over the years. And it's all quite harmless really. Better for them to be doing that than other ratbag activities.

I considered it Jess, but as it is I won't be home 'til 10 and I want to be up at 5am for golf tomorrow.

(Not as young as I used to be :-|)
Some days the early starts worry me as well.

I am not sure waking up that early in the morning for shanks, pull hooks, tops and duffs is such a great idea. :-|

You better practise more.I can do those shots any time of day!

Not sure I need more practice. I just don't think it is such a great idea to wake up too early as I can do those shots just as well later in the day!

Dumped by a so-called friend by SMS. Her only way of communicating was by SMS. No consideration of if I was busy, didn't get messages etc. She works shiftwork as well (same industry, not same role).

Melbourne, you did a good thing. It helped clear my head.

Lucky for you there are almost 4 billion others out there and you only need one Erkpod. Time for a second pick?

Yes, the world can only cope with one erkpod. We don't need 2 of me. LOL.

But seriously, it's all good. It's not as if we were lovers or anythng.

There's only one lady I want right now but she's in Mexico.

managed only three of those - I believe you actually need a decent strike to generate a "pull hook".

Played pretty well though (for me recently), scored 30, winner had 35 & CCR was 31 ... Tough day for most - very windy and rocket greens at Patto.

Starting a week's committment tomorrow night at 2100 with the Rural Fire Service in comms.
