It's my second time. I went for a week in 2011 at the start of my Europe trip (flew SYD - NRT - AMS). For the first couple of days, I felt like I was in a very strange place - like I was watching an anime cartoon up close.

I am returning for a week on the way back from the US in February (flying LAX - NRT - SIN - SYD) & can't wait. I might return in July/August but for longer as a standalone trip.

Japan is still my #1 destination in the world to visit.

The concept of hire cars is that the damage wouldn't have occurred if you hadn't leased it. Apparently. We had a tree branch fall on our car as we drove to Noosa National Park. Our problem.

I always take out the top level of cover because I don't want to worry about things like this.

Another fantastic display of golf from Adam Scott to win the Australian Masters

Well the BOM radar looks like we will finally get some rain at our place.hopefully no hail though as going out for dinner in an hour.

I have had enough of rain to last the whole summer.

Not getting pneumonia is my first wish....

It is not a notable golf destination. Way too expensive for my liking.

Actually at one time Japan was absolutely peppered with golf courses. Due to the economic downturn, many Japanese couldn't afford their golf memberships and some courses have had to close.

Can't do much about the 'expensive' part, I guess.........
