I shall be getting a new car in the new year with my new job..... I have access to a certain range of cars (based on your role) so now need to have a think about image vs practicality..... I'm also sticking with something small (so something the size of a Audi A3 TDI sport / BMW 118d / Mazda 3 Sport type vehicle) due to the UK being the UK (small roads, not much room to park, etc etc!!). Anyone care to weigh in? ;)

A3 Sportback with a S-Line Pack and Audi MMI... Drives well, ample torque. A miser on fuel. And looks the part.

Or if an option, scrap the diesel and get a Golf R.. ,

Have driven the Golf before, was a bit meh over it. Wife doesn't like it.. so I think that rules it out automatically ;)

What a gift! Don't get a hairdresser car. :) Get a WRX or STI. Best shopping trolley out, although I cry when I see the used Porsche prices in the UK.I'm looking for a Boxster in Aus to go with the shopping trolley, but even a 4-5 yo is so expensive. :(

Trying to stay away from even a medium sized car (which I consider the WRX or STI to be), so that rules that one out! If you saw my street.. you'd understand ;)

Hope it's a fast type like mine, QF WP ;). Can't imagine you in anything sedate .

A fast type ? Oh to be young again. If only I could have my Mazda RX2 bridge port again, one of several rotaries I have owned, with modified caster and camber wheel alignment for handling/steering, Koni suspension, 48ida weber, 4 piston Volvo front breaks so it stopped as quickly as it went....

Fast forward 20-30 years and here I am driving a diesel Prado that wouldn't blow the skin off a custard :(

I don't know but we will be in LOTFAP together next month.Probably not in the same city though.

You never know......hmm, where could we eat:idea:

Quite a few AFF's are heading that way.....would be kinda cool!

I'm totally up for that as long as it isn't In-N-Out Burger as I don't do burgers
I think ddron, Mrs drron and I may be in MIA/MCO at the same time :?:

This morning for the first time in 20 years we saw swans from our garden-

One definitely black, the other more grey, probably a juvenile-

Now I admit to being a bit worried. What was to come.A black swan event?
But no.first a lovely lunch. Then arriving home to a very good EDR offer-$69 for 12 whites with a 1000 bonus points plus a $20 off my next purchase.
But there is more. When I disembarked from our last cruise I was at my heaviest-108.5kg.So I gave myself a target of being 95kg by the new year.Well today I hit the mark nearly 6 weeks early.
So now I think a black swan is a very good omen!:D
