Drron. Found that they managed sidewalks quite well when I was there a few years ago. Still some slipery spots but found it good overall.

I keep thinking of my neighbour lining up for half price tickets in the street in New York. I am wondering if she changed her mind. Seems a tad cold to do that.

When we arrived at LGA on Monday at 2130 the temp was 3C.We thought it cold but didn't realise that was to be the highest temp we would have for our weeks stay.

I am not sure you would get to the end of your driveway with that. :)

Has anyone here hired a houseboat before? I've been thinking about it for years but haven't done it yet. I've got a milestone birthday next year (August) so might do something special. If anywhere, I'd do it on the Hawkesbury River at Brooklyn. Or should I go the whole hog & do it somewhere like on the Gold Coast? LOL

So long since you've had any activity with that account? Would hate to see you start a thread about losing your valuable QFF points.

I was reading reactions to the new QF uniforms when I saw this comment.

These look so uncomfortable and unflattering. Any woman with any breasts would never willingly get into an outfit like this, because she will look - and feel - as though she's bursting out of it. High necklines, elbow length sleeves, a scarf around the neck and a little hat just to make the woman who's wearing it look even larger? Erk! Guaranteed to make any woman look, and feel, fat and unattractive. The old uniforms were lovely - dignified, flattering and distinctively Australian.

Erk would like to say that he had no input into the new QF uniforms.

Apparently having no chance is having some chance!

Sounds similar to when I was in NYC in February during Snowstorm Nemo. The weekend before, I was in Mexico City where it was 30°C+ daily to sub-zero.

Have just wrapped up some Christmas presents that are flights in the front of planes for the rellies.
May have to wrap them in an envelope including a card rather than a big box.

Haven't really thought about gifts for my Aussie siblings. Arrgh! Usually send gift baskets bit finding stores that still deliver this late is always a challenge. All fun :)
