The totally off-topic thread

I feel sorry for you whatmeworry and hope you get some resolution.

The internet is an evil place. It is great to have information available to assist people in their lives but when scumbags have access to that same information it can get very scary.

Couldnt be bothered putting a new DJ topic /searching, BUT:

Who else knows of a weird rule with the DJ amex card that you are NOT allowed to pay (deposit) more then what's owing onto your card?

Example:

A) Credit limit is $5,000
B) Balance owing is $1,000, but you decide to deposit $2,000; so you can get a better tv (ie: $6,000 cost).

Short version: a transaction got rejected today, cause I paid kore then I should!...

It was fixed after I rang them though :)

A lot of Amex cards will close if monies deposited put it into a positive balance.

Very stupid in my opinion!

Agree, it happened to me a few years back on a credit card, put 10k in on a very low limit card to cover expenses for a road show the next week, got to first venue, card said no, rang Amex, "we have closed the account and are issuing a cheque and a new card" GGRRRRR

Yikes, the internet is a scary place. I still don't think a police report will do anything for you though - it is essentially a civil matter. And one that is a little smudgy anyway. Good luck with it all and hope you get your money.

I don't think I will do it but I just wanted to put the threat out just so they know someone is always watching! Plus you might not searchable by name on facebook but your certainly searchable by email address!

I would suggest notifying the ticket provider that you have lost the tickets, and next time you sell something use registered post or e parcel, which are the two postal methods Paypal say POD is acceptable.

Someone treating a certain someone to a concert that they thought was free thanks to their deception deserve to have some disappointment in their lives IMHO.

I think I will contact them, but might be hard to prove to them, as I won the tickets.

I won the tickets (plus a few more) but the whole week it amazed me how many on ebay bid with no intentions of buying things. I had to relist two double tickets because they would not pay or even communicate, so that meant I had to go through the laborious process of disputing their bids so I can recover the selling fees! I had to put so many restrictions on who could bid so I could get real buyers.

I was quite heartened of how many people were rapt they got below cost tickets for their family.

Why?

People look for loopholes everywhere they go. The Wizard/28 Degrees card was the perfect example.

I would rather be in credit, spending the extra amount when needed (large bill, car service...) then go over my limit and be charged fees.

First time I've heard of this... Other banks actually pay interest on any credit balance (NAB being my example).

I understand. I have done the same thing but I paid a lot of interest as well.

Now I cannot use that card as 3%, or whatever the rate is now, for cash withdrawals when I am paying interest is taking the piss.

I already contacted auspost and of course they claim they can't do anything. It got to somewhere but who knows where it went, however I suspect one of the other townhouses on their block might have received it.

I already found pictures of the buyer and her family. Told her I will be going to see who is sitting there, take pictures and make a police report!

You just need confirmation of the status of the parcel to prove it was delivered to PayPal. Aus post don't need to do anything.

Paypal only accept registered mail and e parcel services for proof of delivery status, any other product including express post the tracking is irrelevant and the claim for non receipt is approved.

That's as may be. But I was answering a different point.

My manufactured spend route in the UK got closed today. You can still get value out of the available routes but not worth the time and energy.
