Train derailment in Sydney. I didn't do it - I'm in San Francisco. I've seen photos. I don't know what happened apart from what I've seen in the media.

Very nasty. Just showed it to an engineer who has done some rail work and he said it looks very like the top of the i-beam railway track has literally been ripped off.
In that area likely to be a lengthy repair - presumably middle of the viaduct over rushcutters bay

The ICE trains in Germany had a major incident involving large number of fatalities due to something very similar.

Thankfully cityrail (o whatever the new south fails government calls it this month) couldn't possibly get those speeds on that line.

Today Adelaide is the hottest city in the world according to International Data.
