Back at the specialist to complete testing (Little Miss couldn't complete them earlier in the week, got a headache from them), and disuss results with the Doctor.

Any bets on whether he'll make me cry this time???
(And really need to organise an appointment with another, not so much for a 2nd opinion as perhaps a better gelling with the Doc)

All the best for Little Miss

Who's unlucky?

My luggage doesn't always agree with my holiday destination. It wants to go somewhere different. :p

Mine really enjoys Mileage runs eg SYD-BNE via PER or SFO-LAX via JFK.
Unfortunately the bags have missed the point of MRs as they don't get any FF points!

Thanks all, all good. Got a diagnosis we were expecting (ADHD), and at this stage no suggestion that medication is required. We have some baseline data, and can monitor going forward. Am trying to find some OTs and also looking at diet and other behavioural things we can do around the house and our life that will create less yelling and stress for all.

Plenty of parents and families dealing with worse issues out there, and I've been somewhat relieved since late last year when testing at school was indicating ADHD to realise it's not us or her, or both.
Interesting comment from the specialist today about the show on ABC last night, Kids on Speed (have not yet seen it). He said that when you are dealing with a child with these issues, you become dysfunctional yourselves as parents. I can see how that happens and what he means by that (stress affecting you and your reactions to the situation).

Knowing is often the best medicine.I grew up with a fellow who could well have been one of the first to be diagnosed with ADHD.he was 3 years younger than me and was a real .......Now a very successful Cardiologist.
Since moving to QLD I have met another Cardiologist who is not afraid to tell people of his ADHD diagnosis.
So your little miss can still reach for the stars. And with what I read about her parents I am sure she will be an achiever.
All the best.

All the best Katie. Look after yourselves too as a couple and that's a major achievement in itself.

I enjoy a show called Parenthood, which shows the challenges faced with a child with ADHD or autism? OK, it is a TV show but it does bust open some of the issues.

He has Aspergers. Love that show, deals with family stuff quite well.

After 8 years with QF... got my first op-up on QF799 today CNS-BNE. The flight was oversold so I had a pleasant surprise at check-in. Thanks QF.

Katie, I share your frustration about the time it can take to get a diagnosis but the relief is palpable when it is made.

Wishing you, Mr Katie and importantly Miss Katie the ability to work through the processes to get tour lives back on an even keel.

I don't think I'll ever offer for relations to stay with us for more than 2 weeks at once - whole thing has become a nightmare. Never again!

Welcome to life with a guest bedroom :)

Seems some of you are really unlucky :) :o

Let's hope you can be re-united with your luggage ASAP. I'm guessing this kind of doesn't get communicated to the P1 SST so they can expedite / light a fire under the right people.

I'm in Walla Walla ALW. My bags last night ex MDW weren't put on my AS flight ex SEA, Off to the airport shortly to see if they've arrived as promised today (Friday).

It always looks weird when there is a ship carrying a ship, in this case the MV Blue marlin carrying the hull of LHD02 Canberra.
