How many off-topic posters does it take to screw in a light bulb? :)
Dunno about light bulbs, but if you were asking about changing a dark sucker I may be able to provide an opinion

Well there are always differing fuse on that subject.

Lets pull the plug on these bright sparks.
Too late :!:

Just don't get NM going on about his theory about dark suckers :!:

What the heck. I'll post it here and now to save anguish :!:

Can we please stop all this silly discussion about light bulbs.

Its has been well proven that the glass bublus devices that screw into sockets do not actually produce light, so how can we call them light bulbs? They do, in fact, consume darkness - thus making them dark suckers and not light generators.

This can easily be proven by noting the colour a fluorescent tube at the end of its life. The ends of the tube are in fact blackened since they have consumed all the darkness they are able to consume and have since expired as efficient dark suckers.

Another example is a blown bulb from you car break indicators. These also are blacked since they have consumed their fill of darkness.

Without power applied to a dark sucker it will not consume any darkness. Hence the natural state is one of darkness. So the only way to alter that natural darkness state is to remove the darkness. Hence when power is applied to a dark sucker, it goes about its task of clearing the darkness from the room. This happens very quickly as the darkness is drawn toward the dark sucker at the speed of darkness (which is equal in magnitude but in the opposite directional vector to what some misguided scientists would have us believe is the speed of light).

So please cease the continuation of the myth of light bulbs. Dark suckers do need to be replaced from time to time as they fill up due to the volume of consumed darkness. But since there is no such thing as a light bulb I can safely assure you that the answer to all these silly questions about the labour requirement for changing said mythical device is always "none, there is no such thing as a light bulb".

Now, a more appropriate question may be "how many HPs does it take to prove the theory of darkness?".

Bill,
As regards NM and his "Dark Suckers" are you sure you have the story straitman?:p

So under NM's rules there is no "Light at the end of the tunnel" there is only tunnel at the end of dark?

There are a few "Live Wires" around here.but I'm surprised some of them have the "impedance" to show their faces.

Can someone recommended me a good whipper snipper for no more than $300? I'm looking for ease of use and ease of replacing/refilling the line.

Thanks!
