Crazy... I've heard that in Japan this is quite a regular occurrence, it would have been cool, "in a way" if it did happen when I was there!

We'll see if we can arrange one to coincide with the GP . Watching all those cars trying to stay on the track!

Which are very modified down now... due to new "regulations". But apparently it will make the race more competitive, bring on more ontrack takeovers, etc... so should be interesting!

You up for a beer while I'm over? :D

Yep, and perhaps in Perth the following w/end! Will PM some details...

I'm watching The Day After Tomorrow tonight and its such a scary movie - esp if the environment / climate ever got as terrible as that.

I know recent events eg. fires down south, floods up north, now mini earthquakes, and droughts Australia wide compound the idea that it possibly is global warming / climate change affecting this whole world.

Ahhh such a fragile world we live in I guess.

Well i'll lighten the mood.Baby picture number 3.New grandson/second rower.

We felt the earthquake in the People's Republic of Brunswick. We initially thought it was part of the movie we're watching, until we got smses and calls from mates.

Will be driving through the Swan Valley later today, back from Port Denison.

Was going to go out on the boat and pick up some crayfish today but just too hungover :(

Too hungover for crayfish-my my.
At least it can only get better as the day goes!

Sorry if this is too On Topic for this thread.
I was checking the internet for stuff about the A380 today and found this
interactive 360 degree view of the coughpit.
I reckon this about as close as most of us will ever come to the "office" of the A380 :(

Re: The half-century list of off-topic post-filler questions

Answering my own....

41. What is your favourite/preferred activity for passing the time on board a flight?
42. Describe a time when having travel insurance was certainly well worth it.
43. "There's no such thing as bad Business class." Debate and discuss.
44. BKK (now DMK) Don Mueang; KUL (now SZB) Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (Subang); HKG (now defunct) Kai Tak; DEN (now defunct) Stapleton; BNE (now cargo only) (old) International, Lomandra Drive.
Of all of those, which ones have you been to before they were closed/replaced for primary international traffic? (I can't think of any more besides those...)
45. What kind of camera do you normally carry with you whilst travelling?
46. The three most important characteristics of a good hotel room are (in order).....
47. What is your pet hate bad habit of your fellow passengers when on board an aircraft?
48. Describe your piece(s) of cabin baggage.
49. In your opinion/experience, what is the best treatment for a hangover?
50. Describe a flight where you've remarked after disembarking, "I can't believe I survived that flight!"

41. Listening to iPod, sleeping, sorting and viewing photos.
42. Haven't had a claim yet, so I'm hoping it stays that way.
43. There is no bad business class; it'll always be better than Economy.
44. KUL Subang, BNE Lomandra Drive. Many, many memories of the tin shed in BNE.
45. Two cameras at the moment: Sony DSCP200 or (the more inferior) Nikon Coolpix S200
46. Clean (!!!!) - and this means everything: sheets, carpets, walls, sink, shower, glasses, kettle, everything!; ability to control the temperature; good bed.
47. Invading other people's seat space, not following instructions of the crew (especially regarding using electronic devices and mobile phones)
48. Usually a backpack of variable description; currently, a Targus laptop-friendly backpack.
49. In hindsight - drink less. In practice, a good deal of sleep, some greasy food and plenty of water/tea.
50. Can't say I've had one, although my flight last year from Perth to Leinster in a little Metro 23 was the most turbulent flight I've had.

More Qs coming soon!

I thought that was every night for some of you guys :!:
Maybe for others but not for me. I try to stay alcohol free Monday-Thursday, and did last week, but then make up for it on Friday-Sunday. :(

Hmm, I started jury service today (a 2 week stint) in the District Court (but my number wasn't called). However, I think I'll be called tomorrow (based on how many they called today), so I won't know whether I'll be able to attend until Thursday (on the day). If I'm on a jury, then court finishes at 4.30pm. If I've been there and dismissed for the day, I'll be back at work so might be able to make it. If I'm on a jury and been sequestered, then I'll be staying the night somewhere :o (but not my choice of where :().

If I show up, I'll need a drink!!
