I thought that was every night for some of you guys :!:

It seems like every time I catch up with a few AFFers/FTers it always involves drinking, so no we don't drink every night it just seems that way.

Hmm, I started jury service today (a 2 week stint) in the District Court (but my number wasn't called). However, I think I'll be called tomorrow (based on how many they called today), so I won't know whether I'll be able to attend until Thursday (on the day). If I'm on a jury, then court finishes at 4.30pm. If I've been there and dismissed for the day, I'll be back at work so might be able to make it. If I'm on a jury and been sequestered, then I'll be staying the night somewhere :o (but not my choice of where :().

If I show up, I'll need a drink!!

Just make sure you actually listen if you end up being called up.

Whilst trial by jury has its flaws and hearing cases is inherently boring, I absolutely balk at those jurors that were caught in that drug trial doing sudoku rather than listening intently to the cases. As a result, the entire proceedings was thrown out.

What a waste of time, people and resources. And those said jurors got off scot free, whereas their refusal in the first place would have meant imprisonment and any other miscarriage of the normal course of the trial by anyone would have lead to relevant obstruction/perversion of justice charges. Absolute disgrace.

Was rushing to open a parcel that just arrived using a knife  and accidentally slippped and caused a two inch diagonal cut against my laptop screen  Now I'm once again :(

just be glad you were opening the parcel next to your laptop and not with it sitting on top of you lap

Across the front or the back of the screen?

If the screen is still operational, at least all is not lost per se. Just use it until its useful life is over; new ones can be picked up fairly cheaply these days (I really do not know what computer sellers make money on at all these days).

Of course, if the laptop didn't belong to you, e.g. your company, then the useful life of something other than the said laptop may also be over very soon........ :-|

I haven't been to New York and Chicago so they are first on the list for me.
52

Sydney north shore.
53

Can I just say all of them.
54

Priority check in and lounge.
55. Describe the longest transit journey you have ever undertaken which was not a flight (e.g. train trip, bus ride, cruise, etc.)
Done some long journeys by car with some boats in tow; Cairns and Port Lincoln, by bus would be Brisbane to Newcastle.
56

Car; 2 minutes.

There is none I want to try them all; including Garuda and Aeroflot.
58. Where in the world have never been to before that you would like to go to next?
List is too long, check my RTW routing suggestion from the other thread to give you some clues.
59
. Money and necessary health reasons aside, would you ever consider going into outer space? Why/Why not?
No; bring back the Concorde that is as high as I want to go.
60. What is your favourite oneworld, QP or QP-associated Lounge outside Australia?
Hmm; originally I thought BA Galleries at T5 but then I thought the beer machine at Narita was pretty cool; "this I thought of even before reading Flashwares post" never had a bad one yet; I guess I haven't been to enough places.

If I show up, I'll need a drink!!

Last time I was on jury duty I was never called... Was the benefit of being a >200 juror number and several lengthy/complicated trials.

The time before that when I was called, I was overseas.

Maybe you need to take on some of Shillard's advice about how to avoid jury duty! He'll even lend you the shirt :)

Actually during the GP i quite like drinking at "pete's bar" inside the track, although not as good as it used to be. Years ago the Media lounge was on pit straight, complete with free beer.. ok it was Fosters, but free beer is free beer!!!
