Maybe it refers to QFF points and the Mrs. is reminding hubby that he should've booked an ASA and not Classic?

Or made an Epiqure purchase #twobirdsonestone

while walking back from a restaurant to my hotel last week, I passed a computer repair shop that had this visible through the front window:

This is the same as my first computer purchased in 1981. Mine had a single, single-sided 5.25" floppy drive, cassette interface, 48KB of RAM and black&white TV converted into a composite monitor. Later added a second floppy drive, a 16KB memory expansion card and a dot-matrix printer. I wish I had kelp it, as it would probably be worth about the same now as I paid in 1981.

Judging the rest of that shops fit out, I dont think it's there just for display...

I think that's my Roster God's computer!

Great.

Virgin Money tells me my card has been compromised. If the person who compromised it can make some payments on the card for me, that would be awesome.

Now on the phone to the VFF GCC arguing ORC from my AS clusterf**k in February.

But it could be worse...

Let me know if you get stuck. I have some ability and contacts in ADL that may help.

I have a USB 3.5"FDD I can loan out if needed.

Thanks for the offers. I've got all the hardware required. Just need to get around to it. At least I have the printed bound version as backup*. ;)

There are however some 5.25" disk around somewhere with some "pictures" that I'd need help with.

* I actually threw out a tub and a half worth of data and related papers last year.

Saw this at Rally of Canberra, never understood why people put chev badges on a holden, must be a bogan thing......

Yep been in a commode (badged as a chev) taxi in Qatar, driver (from the Philippines, I asked him where he was from) didn't believe me when I said they were made in Australia, but the thing is they are not technically chevs in Australia.

I also talked to an American in the nineties about the Capri sold in the states as being made in Australia, he didn't believe me either. For the record they were sold as a Mercury Capri over there, don't recall having seen a Ford Capri (the Australian made plastic ones) rebadged as a Mercury here.

Not technically?? Did not stop the Kelly brothers doing a swap the Chev badges on their V8 Supercars, kind of similar. Just proves badges are badges, meanwhile the commodore goes round and round Nascar as the pace car, while our local equivalent has a Chrysler as a pace car.

53 years ago the first Argosy made its first flight, every time I go past Essendon I still look expecting them to be there. They were a PITA when I was a controller as they would fly high enough to be in controlled airspace and slow enough to be there for some time. Often they were the only thing in the sky at 2AM travelling to Sydney or vice versa, damn things kept me awake. Still miss them though!

These days I would imagine controllers still have similar issues with British 4 engine freighters in the early hours.

Maybe markis10 wrote the sign for him?

There was the time I was given a RSA lecture in the VA SYD lounge wearing a Ford polo . I don't look good in red.

One of my better golf trips last week.

I played Monday-Friday and scored 31 points off 7, 29 points off 6, 29 points off 6, 36 points off 6 (78 at Siam Plantation with 13 pars is about as good as it gets for me) and finally 26 points off 6 on a tough golf course to finish but I was mentally and physically tired by then.

I had a second and 3 thirds. I will be off 5 when I return in June.
