IIRC I saw them in the mid/late 80's at the Mooloolaba pub/beer garden. Geez, that was a great place!

According to my mum, apparently to apply to be a nurse now, you need to be able to respond to selection criteria.

On a similar note, some things get easier with time and experience. With the exception of work experience giving you "runs on the board", applying for jobs doesn't seem to get easier as you get older.

I think dating might be the other such activity that doesn't get easier with time.

No. The Boolarong was at Alexandra Headland.....just up the road from Mooloolaba. Both have been knocked down and replaced with inferior substitutes

I can't think of many non entry level jobs where you wouldn't have to meet some sort of criteria. I'm guessing it would be competitive so how else would you decide how many people pass through stage 1 & onto an interview? Take someone's word for it?
