Had a really rough trip from AKL to MEL this afternoon.

They are also staying at HoTP so off to have a couple of drinks with some of them.

The crew was an interesting mix from 18 countries and speaking 15 languages incl 2 from Melbourne and 1 from Perth.

And how many points is that upgrade?

Straitman, you're old enough to be their father - behave :D ;)
They were just looking after their Dad :!:

The captain told me that I need to fly MEL-AKL ON 2nd Sept and back on 3rd and he will make sure that I'm properly looked after as he will be flying those days.

Equal opportunity after all!

Get well soon QF WP :)
I'm also a bit under the weather today.
But it's all self inflicted :D

Clearly I am drinking less. Which is probably a good thing. But I don't seem to suffer so much from these self inflicted injuries these days.

But that isn't true. When I think of the input in July I should have been hungover every day. Nothing like an "all inclusive alcohol package" to test the limits. Especially one that includes fine French wines (quite like Pouilly-Fume it seems), Bombay Sapphire gimlet coughtails and Grey Goose. I left the single malt whiskeys for those who like that stuff. But the Baileys on ice around the pool deck mid afternoon was a nice touch.

how-secure-is-your-security-badge-

Interesting article and reminds me that I'm still wondering if I'm supposed to keep my CC in little extra wallets to protect them from 'hackers', or is that just for Pay-wave or all CC.

Anyone go to DefCon and can tell us definitively?

How secure is your security badge?

That makes me feel even better - I suspect there is an app that'll turn a smart phone into an RFID spoof tool or a smart CC hacker/reader.

There is a lot to be said in favour of dinosaurs and additional workers (such as security staff).

Does make you wonder if due to so much money/capital invested in systems that the cost of putting a human back in the role. Just think you've got the tech support, systems, cost of cards, replacement cards, upgrades etc.

And potentially for a less secure system.

There are two people with the same first name on my current project.

When I went into a meeting today and just introduced myself by my first name it caused much confusion as half the group thought I was the other me (who was not there) :p

.. and they wondered why you had such an extreme makeover

Oh, just what I wanted on a monday off, flat pack. But the kids new tv is installed and we are now watching you tube on the TV - life simmer the sims 3 generations. In case anyone is interested. Highly informative, found out that life simmer does "woohoo" in you you tube videos. But Ms 10 doesn't do woohoo. She adopts all her children, that's why they are all "tanned" skin with blonde hair.
:o :o
(WTF!)

Edit: OMG! They've just done Woohoo in this video, in the shower. And now they're looking for the beach. It's enough to get rid of the internet, if I didn't need it.
