If you ignore that short decade when I was attached, I have been single for almost that long... :o

I find myself in hospital this evening with my eldest child. I'm sure I've stayed in worse hotels than this room.

But this time next week is 41 years married, and last week was 46 years since we started going out. And for all the differences over the years, we enjoy all the time we can spend together, especially travelling the world now that we have the capacity, enhanced of course with the knowledge from other AFFers. Before joining this site we had never traveled in J, and since joining we have only once not traveled in J. Now there is something that enhances a relationship.

So is that what the true meaning for the J-curve should be.

Paul Keating's one never seemed to cause happiness....

Up against all these "senior" married couples on AFF, I feel positively a beginner as Mrs QF WP and I clock up 11 years married this Saturday (and 12 years since we first met - 5 July 2002, I will never forget it).

haha, is that what drron wore to your wedding?

NO ! these pants were not around 43 years ago ! So this November we have been married for 43 years. Or last April we have been married for 18 years - I am so sweet and loveable that he married me twice

Don't know what to call myself then....

Married 25th August 1984
20 October 2004 (with Elvis)
24 December 2006 (with Star Fleet Officer & our kids present)
15 November 2011 (in front of Vegas sign with our daughter officiating)

The vows she wrote for us..
Ladies, gentleman, and nutters of the twilight variety. We are gathered here today in the city of sin on this day to witness the marriage of A J B & B M B. Again.

Would the ring bearer please come forward?

Repeat after me:
I, ajb, do promise to love thee, cherish thee, and massage thy feet every night. I promise to always keep the lawn mowed, my study tidy, and to never question anything that you do with the twinuts, as long as we both shall live.

I, bmb , do promise to love thee, cherish thee, and fully support the Green Bay Packers at all times. I promise to keep letting you think you're the boss, to always do your ironing, and to keep taking you on free holidays, as long as we both shall live.

With the power invested in me by my DNA

I now pronounce you man & wife :)

OMG !!!!!!!!!! I think drron and I will have to get married again for a third time and can I use your vows ? ( with a couple of changes !)

Our second was in Vegas by Elvis at the Graceland wedding Chapel, Ron had to promise to be my hunk-hunk a burning love and I had to promise not to step on his blue suede shoes !

A unique harvest is under way in the rice fields of Cambodia, where tens of thousands of wild rats are being trapped alive each day to feed a growing export market for the meat of rural rodents.
There are people that consider rats meat a delicacy?

No, don't ever forget. I made a bit of a faux pas on Sunday, when I realised something had been worrying me all day. I thought it was our wedding anniversary, and casually asked my wife whether she knew what the previous day was. 'Saturday' she said, looking puzzled. When I said 'Wasn't it our WA?' she replied 'Next month, dear.'

However, she did forget a couple of years ago when we were in Santorini, and I was able to remind her.
