Apologies to my Facebookers for repetition but here goes :)
Mini-me and I were Halloween shopping for her birthday at the local party warehouse today. I picked up a rather nice pumpkin piñata and mini-me said :
"Put that back, we'll get that at Woolies as you'll get more Qantas points"
Teach them young ;)

With apologies to the Jesuits:

"Give me a child until they are seven, and I will give you the frequent flyer".

Mini-PF realises that she's a fair chance of going on your next trip.

Smart kid.

My son takes his lead from Joshua on this forum. He loves the Cat Food story from EDR card.

A true mini-me indeed.

Like him or hate him he certainly left a big mark on Australian history.

Like or dislike, love or hate?

I really dislike using hate for a fellow Australian, whether or not I support his politics. Gough was charming, but above all a born politician. I would think most Australians, whether or not they voted for his party when he led them (and as I recall I didn't), would recognise his qualities and contribution to our country.

Yet another benefit of EDR - priceless {copy for next advertising campaign...}

The true test of mini-me's dedication to the cause - does she choose the seat or take what's given?

Unfortunately I introduced our 3 to the wonders of seat choice when they were aged 6 to 9 respectively. They've never forgotten. Big competition for window seat in 3 seat grouping.

Similar vein - to help with the mental arithmetic at an early age taught them to convert sweet prices to price per kilo so they could ensure greatest quantity for the pocket money spend. Most rebellious one (opposite action follows instruction..) recently overheard telling Yr 10 friends buying up sweets for movies - "No, don't buy those ones, get these and you'll get nearly 1/3rd more."

Negative - she refused to take an EDR card but pooled their cash and paid with discount Wish card.

I'm waiting for someone somewhere to say that it was a shock & that he was taken too soon. Someone always does.

I heard that on the radio today.

"His death did not come as a surprise as he had been in poor health lately."

At least with the politicians of that era you knew exactly where they stood on issues. They didn't make deals to retain electoral support.

Went to the doctors today after getting an appointment and was in and out before the appointment time started, almost needed medication for that rarity!

Some key differences in the fees introduced. Hawke/keating fees were regulated and the same for all courses. The current round allows fees depending on course and no regulation of the fee. Taken seriously or not, that is a pretty big difference.
