Currently stuck outside the MCC holding a guest pass because the scanning system is down and they are only letting members in until they fix it.

To make matters worse I can see my friends drinking inside...

You should have had dinner with my colleague / friend and I.

Machine was fixed by the time we arrived. :)

Qantas. I feel at home on a Qantas flight. As for funny stories, I was flying from Melbourne to LA when the little old lady beside me was very unwell and threw up all over me. I hadn't brought a change of clothes in my carry on so my only option was to wear a spare Qantas uniform. I did the rest of the flight dressed as a Qantas crew member. Even though I was sitting back in my seat, people kept waking me up and asking for drinks or headsets. Not funny at the time but I do look back and laugh"

Next month we are flying domestically in Myanmar. Has anybody heard of or flown Asian Wings Airways or the delightfully named Air Kanbawza ?

Q&A: Frequent Flyer with Megan Hess

Rookie mistake not having a change of clothes in hand-luggage. But couldn't imagine how uncomfortable it would be to have to stay in hand-washed but gruesome clothes if staff had not come to the rescue.

Will be sad for his family - his brother Michael was our lawyer for some time before he moved firms...have sent him a message of condolence.

Whilst he was of a different political persuasion, still have to respect some of the work he did was good for Qld.

The takehome message for experienced travellers is that if you are going to be sick and the blanket bag is out of reach, lean to one side, otherwise you may have to wear whatever they find hanging up in the locker.

SA diary loses Emirates contract after dropping halal certification after social media campajgn.
So clear discrimination on the part of Emirates but we need to focus on the social media campaign?

People finally starting to open their eyes and see through the lies.

Sad to see him go. A great Australian and an old friend for some of us.

Our local dairy was in the last week critiscised because it would not pay for halal certification.Roundly critiscised by the Courier Mail.however milk is halal. It shouldn't need a certificate.Medhead is right. The problem is not halal but the scam of certification.

I wonder if they pay for kosher certification as well?

A further reading of the story brings out the fact that the business was subject to a racist campaign that objected to them doing business with a Muslim company.

Both major religions which require certification, Islam and Judaism charge businesses for the certificate. Why isn't there any concern about the other religion charging?

I've met a few people who are totally against Halal food being available in Australia yet they don't say a word about kosher food. Pure racists and I don't want anything to do with them. Here we have another example of a business losing money because of ignorance and fear.

I'd say that's because in my store anyway I have never seen a Kosher sign but there is a Halal one. So that explains it to me - they simply don't know.

Dairy is Halal. There is no need for a certificate. The racist comments came when they posted their decision on the facebook page.
As for kosher sections try a supermarket in Bondi.

Probably need a different email address and perhaps J. M. Blogs as account name - amazing what abbreviating a name can do for accounts.
