Yes just managed to scrape in. Nice little refund for the 4 years tax returns. I am not making the same mistake again and should complete 2008-09 before then next Brisbane drinks night. :)

Sounds like a nice windfall. I'll have mine done for 08-09 before drinks too - I have plans for that money in Tokyo...

I can't access the link (surf-control)... my answer would be pink, aqua, green & orange?

The aqua and green are actually the same colour - it's due to the pink and orange stripes that are fooling your eyes in to seeing something different to what's actually there :p

Now how is this new thread going to help the Off topic thread catch up to the Amex thread. ;)

Re: Lotto AU$90,000,000.00 - what to do with it?

At the Merc dealer last week and was suggested to go take a quick look at the Mercedes Benz SL65 Black Series. There is only one of them in NSW and five Australia wide, so this car will be a very rare sighting in actual flesh! (The NSW model is already sold though).

Ok, the driveaway price is $750K but that's only 0.8% of your net worth if you win the $90M ;)

Alanslegal,

Too many zeros there.

Should be 0.83% :!: ;)

The Amex thread is dead where as the Off-topic thread will continue to grow. I would not worry as the Off-Topic thread will eventually overtake the Amex thread. ;)

Wait... is something wrong with my computer / internet whilst browsing AFF.....

I post on the Off Topic Thread and then it appears here, and then I post here, and it appears in the Off Topic Thread. Strange.

And yes, I've been corrected, $750K is as a percentage, 0.83% of $90M

Anyone want to take guesses on the date that this thread will overtake the Amex thread?

Just to go off-topic in the the off-topic thread, I've been losing about 1kg a week for the last 5 weeks. With 5 weeks to go before I fly to Japan next, if I can maintain this do you think they'll let me check in more luggage weight without penalty?

What if I have a doctors report stating how much weight I'm down?

Because I mean, I could have just stayed a hefty bugger but I'm actually improving the fuel economy on their plan by being lighter. Right? So shouldn't they allow me a few kg more on luggage and still end up lighter?

And as a tangent from that thought, I googled that about 60% of Americans are obese to morbidly obese. So say that they each have an average of 15kg to lose (given that some are real whales and some merely have handles), with 180pax on a plane (for the sake of argument) if everyone lost some weight then the plane would be 2700kg lighter which would lower fuel costs, so then they could take out some rows in economy to make better leg room and we'd all win.

Or am I jus' trippin'?

NO.

If you are a shareholder you will be adding to your share value though.

You're jus' trippin'
That won't happen either :!: In this case they might actually get nearer to making a profit though.

At least you are not the only one.My plan is to loose 1kg a week for the next 6 weeks so i can fit into my suit for my role as Godfather at a New Jersey wedding. And this time I will be flying QF.

6kg over 6 weeks is a fairly hefty weight loss - good luck!

How are you achieving this?
