Albeit have put at most two of these on most paired platforms.

There is risk everywhere, we just have to live with it

Road death in South Australia yesterday. Sister of SWMBO's uncle. I can't express how bad it is.

Condolences medhead. Horrible news.

That's tough at any time of year, but especially now. I am sorry to hear that.

Thanks. It is just another one of those coughpy things to add to the list. I can't remember her very well. But feeling for the uncle, he's a very good bloke.

Sorry to hear that medhead. Never good timing but there is something about Christmas that makes it more poignant.

Cancer has struck a mother of a friend - bile duct cancer which took my father. That and pancreatic cancer are just the worst diagnosis. This will be their last Christmas. And I think, my mothers too.

Found out today a former colleague of mine passed away in the last few days. I didn't know him well as he was sick when I started by job, but sad nonetheless, and shocking news for others in my group.

Take your rubbish with you? Is this an early April Fool's joke?

First thing that came to mind for me was this: Bomb-proof bins to be installed in London - Telegraph (which I originally found when I was trying to work out why there were no bins at the station....)

At Melbourne CBD stations they had clear see-through bins for some years, until they were all removed earlier this year as a [-]cost cutting[/-] security measure.

They're good in theory, but multiple times I've seen people put things in them when they're already quite full and the whole thing drops to the ground and spills all over the place

We finally made it to Santa Cruz Bolivia and brought the rain with us. The river in this picture is apparently all sand normally.

Death is sad at any time, however pairing close to a joyous holiday does dim the enthusiasm to celebrate.

Sharing is one part of the grieving process and shows the emotional connection we have for each other.

In my opinion you have not been notified (in writing as your contract requires) of any change to your work arrangements. You should keep going to work until you are.

Which is fine, but I want to be careful not to burn any bridges.
