Hoping you're still alive and haven't tried throwing yourself out the window after three hours on a cattle-car trip that would take 60 minutes in Japan!
Good thing he was in the first class carriage (and yes he made it home safely)

Exactly. Paying an entire $8 for the F upgrade was worth it. Even then there were some interesting characters on board...

Someone (not me) forgot to check that the car had oil before hitting the Hume on a 38C day. Lucky the people of Benalla are quite helpful.

This is scary...

More whinging about the AAMI safe driver app. Just drove 560 km on major national highways, including most on Highway No. 1. According to AAMI I was driving off road or traveling on a ferry. How hard is it!?

Thankfully the car handled the 46 temps around Port Augusta without hassle.

A nice 10 degrees here.... BBC Weather - London

Guess AAMI won't be using app for premium calculations any time soon!

It is a big advertisement for getting free road side assistance and premiums. The system for driver assessment considers braking, speed and use of mobile phones. Pretty damn annoying that highway driving, which involves minimal braking, cruise control to keep to limits and no mobile use, i.e. driving that should score highly, hasn't counted.

Turned on the TV for the first time in 2 weeks and what do we get?CNN has cruising around Moreton Bay and Star sports has the Heat v Hurricanes.

Looks like I need to retract my previous a little bit. It does recognise highway A1 Adelaide to Port Pirie after some thinking time.

The braking bit is still over sensitive. A few examples of driving at the speed limit approaching traffic lights when they turn red. No cars in front of me, well back from the lights that they will well and truly be red before I reach them even without braking. Apply the brakes immediately on the orange light, steady even braking to stop exactly on the white line = excessive braking warning. Yeah ok then AAMI.

Anyway, I now have a score and I'm rather happy considering a score of 60+ gets free roadside assistance.

Well done, "Barry". :)

Hug your loved ones close peeps, life isn't a dress rehearsal. Over the past few days I have had the privilege of meeting and helping those who hold these values preciously now.....
There's definitely more to life than airline status that's for sure.
