All the best to those in Adelaide and SA battling Bushfires.

Our cat is currently boarding at a cattery in one of the risk areas in the hills where evacuation has been called. All ok at the moment and it has to stay that way. :(

Things are better tonight than last night, down to 31

OK.A quick quiz.
How many monks can fit in a Pajero with a guide and driver?
First correct answer will get a like.

Saw on abc 24, that a cattery had burnt down... :(

We got home from Europe after lunch.

I am grateful for a medical system where we can call an after hours doctor to see Mr Katie tonight, rather than wake up Little Miss Jet Lagged (who took herself to bed at 7pm) and take him to a 24hr clinic. Seems like a re-occurrence of the same issue he experienced in Dresden. Am guessing further medical investigation will be required next week.

There are many others far sicker, but I'm grateful we don't have to go off somewhere for the next few hours to get (non-urgent) medical attention.

I hope Mr Katie is on the mend soon.

Happy new year everyone on AFF!

I've been quiet on here the past few months. Number of reasons, job uncertainty, working my butt off to get some certainty - it failed. Child #3 who was due on Christmas day being born three weeks early, then requiring newborn intensive care for three weeks, he still made it home by Christmas day :)

And, unlikely to be stepping on a plane anywhere in the near term, what a waste of a full calendar year at WP status!

Thanks, the doctor has just left. Mr Katie has enough antibiotics until we can get to a chemist for a full prescription. As suspected, also a recommendation to see his GP for further tests next week.

Now, hopefully sleep for my jet lagged little family.

10 monks, 12 in the car

Front bench seat with Driver, guide and 1 monk. Rear seat with 4 or 5, Rear seat in wagon with 4 or 3. Then 1 in the very back of the wagon. 1+4+4+1 or 1+5+3+1 = 10.

Otherwise, there are 2 in boot for 11.
