What do you do for a living?

Could you call in a super-sickie? Or claim a relative/friend suddenly died? ;)

We were at the same AFF drinks night last week. :?:

Every job has good and bad parts; just think that you have a holiday starting Friday.

Realised, but I didn't get around to finding out that detail. (My fault for not mingling around more.)

I think that I was harsh, I guess I can't stay in one seat for my 5 minutes; :-| I arrived late and sat at one end but wasn't able to talk to the others at the other end of the table so when Lindsay left I went and had a chat to those at the other end of the table, sorry no photos.

No fear. It was a good night.

I shall merely mete out my joy at having almost three weeks away from the phone and e-mail in measures, counting down until I can check out of the office and check in to QF21 by way of QF553.

Don't you sometimes wish for the good old days, 40-50 years ago when you could drink on the job if you worked in sales and nobody cared providing you still performed?

And the lunches ;):shock::oops:

Lunch? What's that?

Oh, that's the only 45 minutes I can get some uninterrupted work done because all my clients are too busy shoving food into their faces to be calling me with "urgent" issues like changing chair sashes from flipknots to bows.

Don't forget this forum and thread can be seen by anyone ;)

Looking forward to the F1 race tonight, hoping it's a good one.

Yep, 10 minutes to go :D

That crash yesterday was bad news for Massa.

You don't have to drink your way through the cost of your flight.
After paying $27.20 for 5 beers at Conrad Jupiters Friday night/Saturday morning I had to have some free alcohol. :p I specifically dropped the hire car off at the airport (no extra charge) and drank close to the cost of a red e-deal. Even better though as I did not have to pay to get home from the airport. ;)

And don't forget business class lounge access in BNE before your flight. ;)

A trick that works for me is counting days to go before a holiday. When it gets down <50 the days start to go very quick. Only 28 days to go....

Ahh yes, another thing to look forward to. :)

I've been counting down since last seeing the GF in May. There's even a nifty iPhone app you can get for such important occasions.

I'll pass on iPhone and iPhone apps. My mind is quite capable of counting down to important events. :p ;) Only 27 days to go....

My sisters iPhone arrived today. Trying to decide if I should order a black cased one or a white cased one for myself now.

JohnK,

There are other good applications though. You can get information on just about anything from food colouring codes to Melbourne tram arrival times :!:

I am sure there are a lot of good, probably great, applications for the iPhone. There is a difference between good and useful though....

I find the Phone app to be quite useful. ;)

In all seriousness, I find the calendar to be the best I've ever had on a phone.

Personally, I love the following apps :
Kotoba - Free Japanese-English dictionary
Kanji Flip & Japanese Flip - Cheap but useful flashcard software (trying to pass a business language test this year)
Wordpress, Facebook & mixi - Social networking and blogging apps
Galacto Lite, Falling Balls & Wolf3d Lite - Free games
