2nd rookie mistake - I used earning's rate I got (pre recent changes). Got over 22,000 points per SYDLHR rtn in whY for cheap fares.

then make sure that "Wifi only" is ticked.

Ok. Not quite the path you mention above but I have found the setting under Security.

I have 'Via Wi-Fi only' checked for security policy updates which is immediately below 'Auto Update Security' which is not checked and searches for and downloads security policy updates.

Thanks. Now Google Play Services is fixed and Security Polity updates is fixed.

So that's where the setting is hiding.

I am not sure how to enable the Security Updates and make sure it is only checked when wifi is available. I searched on Google and there wasn't a simple answer other than to trick the phone into not sending the notification.

With Windows, press and hold down an ALT key. While holding it down, press 0128 on the numeric keypad. Release the ALT key.

Some others I use are 0162 for ¢, 0163 for £ & 0165 for ¥.

Yes I did. I do not use Google Play Store. I don't have many apps on phone apart from the basic ones that came loaded with the phone and these should only be updated using Wi-Fi.

All is good now. I have 2 more days to go before the new month and I will monitor usage again.

Plant was that letter from the ATO or your Super Fund? The mail delivery these days is more than ordinary. This 2015 tax year I did a voluntary contribution at maximum level seeing I turned 65 (non deductible) as well as the 35,000 deductible amount.
I do hope the contract for the Australia Post chief expires soon as they should be way out number one in package deliveries.

So council/roads have put a new sign on my nature strip without consultation!
Bike lane end! Just so happens there is an existing pole for bus stop.... I plan on ringing council to have it removed or placed on existing pole.

I know in Perth the verge (nature strip) is council property, not sure if it's the same over east.

However there may be some standard or regulation In place dictating why the sign must go on a new pole and not the existing pole.

I loathe "apps" of any kind. Why accept reduced functionality? Convenience? No thanks.

Keep getting these surveys about mobile banking and using your mobile phone as a credit card. Has the world gone nuts? We don't need new payment methods. What we have is fine.

As I keep saying not long before everyone is under centrol control with a chip inserted in the arm or side of the head that will receive and send phone calls, act as credit card/savings account, life monitor, GPS tracking. All information will be sent back to Big Brother for safe keeping and the hackers won't have access to that information.

Those that resist these changes will be better off.
