MrP travelled from NY to Adelaide just before his birthday so he says theoretically he didn't have it, which he insists means that he is now younger than me.
I missed a Valentines Day in the same situation, no pressie that year.

So, he needs to travel the reverse direction starting late on his birthday leaving Adelaide to NY so he had two birthdays to catch up.

Problem solved while you book the reverse journey for your birthday....

DuDDED!

Married on 12th Feb, flew out on 14th after breakfast on our balcony at Park Hyatt (Syd) and arranged for flowers in room at Kona. So she got 2 Valentines Days.

Bad precedent to set on day 3...

Now there's a thought!

Imagine the birthday blues for those born in leap years.

For some ridiculous reason, to which, however, I’ve no desire to be disloyal,
Some person in authority, I don’t know who, very likely the Astronomer Royal,
Has decided that, although for such a beastly month as February,
twenty-eight days as a rule are plenty,
One year in every four his days shall be reckoned as nine and twenty.
Through some singular coincidence – I shouldn’t be surprised if it were owing to the
agency of an ill-natured fairy –
You are the victim of this clumsy arrangement, having been born in leap-year,
on the twenty-ninth of February;
And so, by a simple arithmetical process, you’ll easily discover,
That though you’ve lived twenty-one years, yet, if we go by birthdays,
you’re only five and a little bit over!

This might be too on topic for the off topic thread !

Star Wars Plane To Fly Into Sydney This Weekend | WSFM101.7 - Pure Gold

One for the plane spotters !!

Currently pricing NYE parties in Dubai. Planning on being near Burj Khalifa for the fireworks as they plan to beat their own world record of fireworks they set a couple of years ago.

Prices are eye watering for anything with a view. The fact there are still spaces suggests others think the same. Fancy $750 pp at the Sheraton - with a balcony view of Burj? It would be fabulous as it is all inclusive and Dubai does know how to feast. Surprisingly.

I just bought the Intercontinental points offer of 60,000 with 60,000 bonus (expires December 11th US time) for $690 USD. Used a fee free BW cc for this purchase.

Where are you planning on using them cove?

I find IHG points a little "hit and miss" myself.

I was in Dubai for NYE a few years ago and milled with the locals below the Burj (I don't recommend this, I nearly got crushed and it got a little wild). While impressive, I found that being close to the Burj was underwhelming due to the pure size of it. Any of the functions nearby would also suffer the same issue IMHO.
