One more day of holidays, I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

I spent 12 days in Perth, it was great to catch up with a few friends, sailing I had some goods days but there were also some not so good days.
Missing the cut off time in the final race by 5 minutes. :-|
Buying a white shirt and then the first time you wear it pour salad dressing on it.
Forgetting to pay my American Express bill on time. :(
Being $5 short to pay for a coffee for you an a friend and going to one of those ATMs that charge a $2.90 withdraw fee.
Qantas subbing your Perth to Brisbane flight from a reconfigured A330 to an ex Jetstar A330.

The new Qantas A330s are pretty good which I had on the flight to Perth.

I assume very few get to the actual wallpapering, and most stop at the selection point.

Selection could be grounds for divorce. Those who make it to the actual hanging of the wallpaper could find one or the other facing criminal charges, while the other is either in hospital or the morgue.

When the frustration boils up, I always recall this joke:

Bloke 1 to Bloke 2: I haven't said anything to my wife for six months.
Bloke 2 to Bloke 1: Good thing you didn't interrupt her.

All sorts of records broken in the 3rd test in Sydney. Looks like West Indies could bat through the match. ;)

The arrogance of Australian cricket commentators suggesting some sporting declarations to get a result in the match? Why would West Indies want to do that? Increase the Australian level of arrogance up a notch or 2?

Shame the match is going to be washed out. West Indies are showing signs of improvement. They should have batted first in Melbourne.

Had to laugh at Bill Lawry's comment that it was raining in Sydney "as usual'.

Consecutive washouts in Aus Tests:
1887-88 Sydney
1931-32 Gabba
1947-48 Sydney
1954-55 Sydney (3 days)
1989-90 Sydney
2015-16 Sydney

Reason to break off a relationship #601 - Ran into a good mate this morn who I have not seen for 2 yrs - this guy is a seriously fit good looking rooster - I heard via his brother that his new girlfriend was a stunning looking tall blonde model - I asked how they were going - 'dumped her' he replied - why? - simple story - she would not put the shampoo bottle back on the shelf in the shower - she would put it on the floor - I asked her over and over please put it on the shelf - no matter made no difference after every shower she would put it on the floor - so I 'dumped her' - clearly a deep relationship don't you think?

Are you sure that wasn't a Seinfeld episode?

Funny how those Sydneysiders seem to skip over that one...

I'm told that it rains more in Melbourne on a days/year basis, it just rains more in Sydney on a volume basis. Anything more than a drizzle and Melbourne floods.

1223mm versus just 603mm for Melbourne, over approximately the same number of rainy days.

Reputations aside, it rains more in "Sunny Sydney" than it does in Melbourne's "Four Seasons in a Day".
That's not quite true. I like both Sydney and Melbourne but the extremes appear to happen more often in Melbourne.

So driving to work this morning (at 3.00am) when my car was hit by what I thought was a rock. I'm not stopping in that desolate area so continued on and then saw that there was a severe crack on the left bottom side of the windscreen.

Get to work ok and see the damage, large area of smashed glass and cracks in the affected area.

Later on I report it to the police and when I told the constable the area he knew exactly where and which group of people did it! They have so many criminal charges against them it's not worthwhile bringing any more and because I didn't see which individual did it then they couldn't even charge them.

The constable told me it wasn't a rock but a lemon they threw. They know everything and I'm just a statistic. The constable was very good and obviously as frustrated as I am. Apparently there have been 4-5 of these incidents in the last week.

I guess until someone is killed then the powers that be will continue to avoid the abhorrent behaviour of residents whose land we're forced to acknowledge will continue without sanction.

The windscreen will be replaced on Friday afternoon.

The final bit of frustration, I wouldn't normally take this route to work but with roadwork at the other end I needed to take an alternative route.

Ok let's compare Melbourne and Sydney Today.

Melbourne a bit cool but not too bad.

Meanwhile in Sydney your getting soaked with a chance of getting a tropical disease.

You think that's a problem look at North Korea setting off Nuclear (Hydrogen)Bomb ......bloody idiots..... they will probably
read this and get their computer hackers to bring the site down. Talk about hopeless.

Hmm...Irreconcilable difference. Good thing they were not married. Imagine telling that to His Honour through divorce proceedings.

Depending how fast the vehicle is travelling, and the impact velocity of the object, throwing a projectile at a car windshield can be quite dangerous.

Certainly a silly thing to do.

Glad you are okay Hvr, even if the car needs some work.
