Ask your GP to do a blood test for ANA levels as a starter. Maybe an auto immune thing. Can get sorted. Alcohol might not be the issue just the timing of it. Does it happen if you drink alcohol at a different time or just at night - maybe after a day in the sun or something? Do your fingers go whitish?
(ps - I am in no way a Doctor but have a 30 year history of auto immune stuff. And I watch House  :p)

When my parents built their house, they planned a fridge space based on their existing fridge. Except the builder/architect forgot about the skirting boards.

I was happy to swap my small fridge for a nice big new one. ;)
Some years ago we had our kitchen in our then residence remodelled. All the measurements done etc. I came home from work one evening to see that all the cabinetry had been installed, but as I looked at the space for the fridge it just seemed a little short in height. Said fridge was on the other side of the room so we duly measured it and, yep, quite a bit too short. Contacted the company we were using and the comment was. "Don't you have a standard size fridge?" DOH. The fridge was a popular model from a mainstream manufacturer so I guess....? Anyway they had to come back and redo all of that section, perhaps with not the greatest of grace. Would never use them again but then I suppose most are similarly poor.

Surely any decent cabinet-maker - and I have met one or two in my time - would have either measured the fridge initially or double checked with you before designing the kitchen, let alone installing it.

Always measure twice...cut once

Sometimes takes a life event to make your perspective change. I do enjoy the thought of alcohol though. And so far can enjoy it still.

I smoked for 25 years. Somewhere between 60-100 cigarettes a day. It took a heart attack to open my eyes. I don't quite recall but it was costing me ~$150/week. That was a small fortune over 25 years. Could have bought another 1-2 apartments. I would hate to think what the smoking habit would have cost me today. ~$300/week? Don't miss it one bit. In fact some days I kick myself for starting the stupid habit in the first place. All to look cool at 14. More like a fool.

Just caught up with several pages since our last reliable internet. With weight loss in the short term diet is far better than exercise but in the long term exercise is essential for maintenance of weight loss. The CDC suggests for those who maintain weight loss over 90% have regular exercise as part of their plan.

Another thing with exercise-weight loss is not the only benefit.most disease are less prevalent in those who exercise regularly.
And the most important part-with exercise you are replacing fat with extra muscle bulk.Muscle being more dense than fat means although the weight may stay the same your size decreases. On this trip I have increased my exercise a lot, food consumption is up yet my belt now tightens at the 4th position rather than the second at the beginning of the trip.My weight probably static.

Yep, one would think so. The company measured it all up and I saw the plans with the correct height (I'm pretty sure). He was just being a prat I think. They were quite a large CBR company at the time (think they are still around) but I did not like their attitude, a couple of things rankled but of course it was too late. They did fix it the next day, but really it should not have happened.
Had a new kitchen put into daughter's place as well by a different company. They managed to have a cupboard door opening so that it blocked the dishwasher. Their tiler was excellent though.

Chatted with a cardiologist last year who was a high activity level runner. They were perturbed to have just read a paper that said low to moderate activity running was more beneficial that high activity running.
