Perhaps a change of avatar might change your luck!!
But seriously, you need to take care. Your boots would be very hard to fill around here.
Couldn't agree more - JohnK take note.

I came close to dying today. A lot closer than I need to experience while I am still alive. Luckily just bruising everywhere.
I am hoping today's "accident" is the culmination of the agony of the past 3 days. I could sense something was wrong but didn't know what would happen or how to stop it. Still in shock. Could have been a lot worse.
Not being cryptic. Too much detail is not always appropriate.
Well, the Reds won so bet Adelaide is happy tonight
I feel your pain. You have handled yourself quite well under the circumstances.Might need to take care of yourself more JohnK. Big responsibilities. Glad my big ones are in the past given the last 2 months. Seems like a lifetime. And aged 10 years in the process.

I have no intention of going anywhere anytime soon. The unexpected can happen even on a golf course. Mum and dad were saying to me again I am always on the run and not leaving anytime to relax. They are probably right.

At last...my chance to make a lot of money.
Census Field Officers:
- are temporary casual jobs, with flexible working hours
- are responsible for making contact with households to ensure everyone can complete the Census
- will earn $21.61 per hour (inclusive of 25% loading)
Of course, now I'm confused why so many officers are required. If it's letter box drops then why can't they just use the Australian Post service.
The Census collectors are needed to chase up the people who don't complete the Census either online or by mail.

The same thing could be achieved with a stern letter sent to said address.
Just like bills from the tax office or a speeding ticket, none of those officials come over or send some other lackey if you fail to cough up the money or a suitable excuse. You wouldn't even get a hand delivery if a summons to court arrived, if either or those got that far.
Well interesting results from the football (soccer) tonight in the UK. Best you watch your recorded game if you want the details...

Interesting and essential work.
August 9 is Census night and the ABS has requested assistance from the AEC to find up to 38,000 motivated and community minded people across Australia to join their team and work on the 2016 Census.

Danny Cahill stood, slightly dazed, in a blizzard of confetti as the audience screamed and his family ran on stage. He had won season eight of the American version of reality television show The Biggest Loser, shedding more weight than anyone ever had on the program - an astonishing 108 kilograms in seven months.
When he got on the scale for all to see that evening, December 8, 2009, he weighed just 87 kilograms, down from 195. Dressed in a T-shirt and knee-length shorts, he was lean, athletic and as handsome as a model.
But in the years since, more than 45 kilograms have crept back onto his 5-foot-11 frame despite his best efforts. In fact, most of that season's 16 contestants have regained much if not all the weight they lost so arduously. Some are even heavier now.
It has to do with resting metabolism, which determines how many calories a person burns when at rest. When the show began, the contestants, though hugely overweight, had normal metabolisms for their size, meaning they were burning a normal number of calories for people of their weight. When it ended, their metabolisms had slowed radically and their bodies were not burning enough calories to maintain their thinner sizes.
What shocked the researchers was what happened next: As the years went by and the numbers on the scale climbed, the contestants' metabolisms did not recover. They became even slower, and the pounds kept piling on. It was as if their bodies were intensifying their effort to pull the contestants back to their original weight.
Cahill was one of the worst off. As he regained more than 45 kilograms, his metabolism slowed so much that, just to maintain his current weight of 134 kilograms, he now has to eat 3350 kilojoules a day less than a typical man his size. Anything more turns to fat.
