It is not cheap eating in the lounge it is thrifty;)

It's a pity no one is in the J lounge who could invite you in for a slightly better sandwich.

Enjoy the beer.

Thrifty, I like that.

I’m not even sure there is a J section in T3. I’ve looked around, but can’t see any other doors.

Will do.. enjoy yours in Perth! Love the Blue Tongue :)

Edit: I mean T2

T3=Main QF terminal, are you maybe in T2, the combined terminal?

Only 1.5 so far, going slow. But I’m not familiar with SYD, and don’t think I’ve ever flown anything but QF into here so never bothered with what terminal numbers were :p

Also, I fear we’re getting a little too on-topic now :D

I live in SYD and I had to check the website to confirm the terminal numbers:p

Enjoy your stay.

Hey cheap is good.I'm so cheap I save the cheese and bikkies from Qlink flights for afternoon tea-I have a whole tin full of them.:)

just finished up the great weekend cleanup.Soaps were the last item sorted.Amongst soaps from many now departed hotels was a bar of genuine PanAm soap.Who else has one of those?

The Gold Coast lounge has these great instant miso soup packets available, can’t find them in stores.

Need to visit an asian grocery store normally. Plenty of brands to choose from then! Woolies/Coles sometimes has them in the "Asian foods" type aisle.

Not this particular brand. I've looked at a few places.

Marukome (silver packet). Seems to be a bulk buy thing for use in hotels and lounges :-P

I'm sure you could find it on the Gold Coast somewhere - especially since the brand is a huge one, but if in Brisbane's Valley have a look at Burlington's (ChinaTown mall), or the other big asian store in Wickham St (can't recall it's name). They both have (had?) big ranges of instant miso.

There are another couple of places in the city or Spring Hill I could recommend trying, but I wouldn't have a clue if they're still around !

Will have a look. Till then the Gold Coast lounge will just have to be extra generous to me.

On another note, what exactly are the advantages to having the sun set at 9pm in Melbourne. I couldn't believe it appeared to be the middle of the day as we landed at 8.

This morning I’m having a delicious breakfast at a local Melbourne cafe called McDonald’s, though I’m not sure what all the hype is about the coffee, I found it sickly sweet. :p
