With lots of cold beer on standby

Wasabi is a mustard, and has a distinctly nose-cleansing, cold spice.

I don't find having cool liquids on hand is necessarily a good "antidote". The liquid glosses over the spice but doesn't flush it out or quench it - I find you just have to ride it out. If you've had too much, breathing may become difficult and drinking something (unless you spit it out again) may not help either.

Fantastic when you have a blocked nose, though!

Maybe Wasabi is a good excuse for some for beer ... plus it can give the sinuses a wotkout ... :p

Electric shock for the nose .......Wasabi especially if it's not eaten right. Is there a right way to eat wasabi?

If you are looking for something to snort, try tequila. Put some in a sinex pump spray and have a good time. It clears the sinuses as well. Ahhh.. Miss those Rugby away games with pub crawl home.

An oven has a clear door so you can see the food inside cooking.

A front-loading washing machine has a clear door so you can see the clothes inside being cleaned. Ditto many dryers so you can see your clothes being tossed and dried.

Why doesn't a dishwasher have a clear door so you can see the dishes inside being cleaned?

Both oven and washing machine are usually empty unless they are being used.
I'd suggest that a growing mountain of filthy dishes sitting behind a glass door as the dishwasher is filled would be a fairly revolting sight in the kitchen.

Yeah that's why a dishwasher should have a screen on it to make it a TV or moving art in the kitchen..... Another million dollar idea....

Here is the weird thing. In SA, our Transport Minister has said it is ok to cross over double lines if we are passing a cyclist as we now have to pass with a metre distance! And sadly, Insurance companies will say that every car must leave a distance in front to avoid unexpected issues up ahead.

<snip>!

Same here in Tas (can cross double lines) - except we have to leave 1.5m when passing a cyclist.

Yes, I agree with that response and would have posted something similar if I'd been here sooner. Well done.

You guys must be better drivers in Tasmania. I would struggle to be able to accurately measure 1.5m when I am driving a car in traffic.

Did you see Hotel Chocolat went public in London and the share price rose in the first week. Lovely chocolates....

Am watching Eurovision here in Penzance and the Australian entry represented by Dami is way ahead half way through the jury vote. Boy they can drag it out.
