Wow guys I had better book an SQ Suites set of flights to London just for the Vegemite. ASDA is walking distance for us or one DLR stop.
I did think the Waitrose strawberries in the dozen pack could have been dipped in Belgian chocolate but they don't seem to do that in England.

See you soon, then!

My shirts now come from Brooks brothers.Buy them at their US outlets when on special for~$US30.Fantastic for travel.wash them, hang them up dripping wet over bath/shower and dry in the morning and genuinely wrinkle free.Dont need ironing. So mrsdrron's favourite as well.

I have yet to find genuine wrinkle free. Sounds perfect for me, especially.

The secret to wrinkle free is to wash the shirt as per normal, but either give it only a very light spin, or take it out of the washing machine dripping and then hang. Too much spin will crease it, and the water dripping through the fabric will solve any creases.

Have tried the 'creaseless spin' but not the 'no spin'. That will be next.

Or take enough shirts with you on holidays and if you still run out of clean/ironed shirts take them to the laundry.

Just wear seersucker or that creasy look so beloved of MaggieT store clothes :)
Hate to tell you but linen doesn't fall into the wrinkle free category.

I wont wear linen because of that ! Bought an expensive white linen skirt years ago - looked like it came out of the rag bag 5 minutes after you put it on !!! No more linen for me after that. :D

I love linen but you are right, it is a battle to keep it uncreased. I don't do linen skirts (well I don't do skirts at all really) but have linen pants and overskirts. I lightly starch them and that seems to help.

Ditched anything linen a few years ago. Love my Maggie T, always the easy present for family to give me.

RAM, I assumed the snake was deceased. It seemed to be in pieces. Oops if that's not the case.

Have a look at the video at the bottom of the news page. As they take the snake out of the toilet (backwards) it starts to coil and pulls its head - watch the worker nearest (although its mouth is taped up) jump a mile.

All that blood in the early photo and video - and NONE from the snake.

OUCH!

Nice touch!

We've been doing emergency dishwasher shopping. Seem the pump on the existing dishwasher is broken and leaking. The kitchen cupboards are showing the damage. The spare dishwasher was just about to go in, except when I removed the top to make it fit SWMBO saw there was a mouse not living under the cover. So that washing machine isn't acceptable.
It seems Miele is the preferred option and apparently they are like Apple - non-negotiable on pricing. This makes me wonder what is the advantage of buying from somewhere like Harvey Norman in that case. The same price is available direct from Miele online.

I wonder if Costco sell Miele.

Reminds me of the line from the film There's something about Mary, when the paramedics are taking Bill Stiller's character to the hospital after the zipper accident - "We've got a bleeder" .

Not that I am aware of Medhead.

We've had Miele for many years (both here and the previous house). I don't like the one I have at present as much as the one I had before which was actually the cheaper model. Miele have sale prices sometimes and the one we bought before was about $300 off. The installation is really important as in the past we have had dishwashers breakdown because they were installed incorrectly with the outlet hose not higher than the actual outlet and so allowing water to drain back into the machine.

FWIW we have 5 relatively new (<4 years) Miele appliances - dishwasher, WM, dryer, oven, cooker. All of them have had multiply service calls (under warranty) and have been a real PITA. I'll never buy Miele again!

And we've had no problems with Miele but maybe we've been lucky; either that or you've been very unlucky. We have an AEG washer and FP dryer though. At this place only DW, oven and induction cooktop are Miele.
