That was close. Clicked on the TV discussion thread, and then realised I haven't seen this week''s GoT yet.
In other news SWMBO used to wait for me to get home to watch GoT together. No more. #feelingthelove

Just watched GoT through the Foxtel app on Hamilton Island. Not spoiling. :p

I have to admit I will never get the obsession with this show. I didn't even make it through the first chapter of the first book.

Terrible.

It's just a story. As someone who played dungeons and dragons, read dragonlance books, plus much more in the scifi/fantasy genre, I like it. But at the end of the day it is just a story that has broad public appeal.

Oh I have read quite a bit of sci-fi/fantasy and still do. But I don't care for GoT.

I don't get the obsession either. It is one thing to watch a show and another to sit there anxiously awaiting the next episode like a much needed heroi_ fix.

You aren't in the minority.

Some would say these threads and others here are as withdrawal terminating as a heroi_ hit!

I can completely understand this - I was 39 and 42 when we had our kids and I am at least a decade older than most parents (particularly dads) at school. Just have to keep fit to keep up with them (now 9 and 6). The years fly by - the older we get, the quicker they go :o :(

We worked on 6 years between our two GarrettM. Made me an older dad at preschool where the next generation dads seemed to all be over 195 cms so my neck hurt just looking up to talk with them.
