The totally off-topic thread

That was close. Clicked on the TV discussion thread, and then realised I haven't seen this week''s GoT yet.
In other news SWMBO used to wait for me to get home to watch GoT together. No more. #feelingthelove

I am the reverse, I watched GoT series 1 to 4 (numerous times) before Mrs QF WP got interested. Now she can barely wait to watch the episode or two every night. Up to S4 Ep7 at present...

I read the review on line, not seen any of Season 6 yet but the suspense is killing me so I just had to look for the spoilers.

I'm waiting on Mrs QF WP finishing Series 4 before embarking on Series 5 & 6 with her

It's just a story. As someone who played dungeons and dragons, read dragonlance books, plus much more in the scifi/fantasy genre, I like it. But at the end of the day it is just a story that has broad public appeal.
Another +1 for D&D and my favourite sci-fi author David Eddings. Now if they made his books into a series, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Don't worry JohnK they can come in quite handy. My best round ever was at Cairns.2 over for the round, last 9 one under. But at one short par 3 my shot was going in the lake.A croc surfaced, ball bounced off and onto the green.Unfortunately a bad bounce as I was left a really long putt but still got a par.

Great story. I don't remember crocodiles at Cairns but do remember being told about bulk sharks at Carbrook when I played there. Just as well sharks stay in the water and if your ball gets wet don't go fishing for it.

Many crocs in Cairns, did you miss the news about the poor lady getting taken.
All my childhood swimming holes are unuseable now apparently. Including the one where I had my first proper snog. (sad really) Maybe Crystal Cascades is still ok, but they've wrecked that with all the development.
Still there was always rumours of crocs in the botanical gardens lakes when I was at school.

Ok, need to schedule another Kyoto trip...

Introducing Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto – a contemporary, luxury oasis in Japan’s capital of culture, ready to welcome arrivals from October 15, 2016

Big numbers!

...

Yes indeed. It has taken a while but finally. This should cut the time for train travel between German and Italian Switzerland considerably, since they don't need to go up and down and around and around the alpine corridors. That was a time consuming exercise and even more so for those commuting between French and Italian Switzerland (e.g. Geneva or Lausanne to Lugano, Lorcano or Bellinzona).

Well straitman we live in a building called Cove when we are in LOTFAP and also live mostly in Shelley Cove when we are in the west.
I think I will take Mrscove to Vivid this long weekend because I can.
Might leave GarretM to challenge the Perth rat population while we are in Sydney.

Forget rats! Just saw a bloody rabbit! Running across the rocks at the boat harbour. Ridiculous!

My apartment has been taken over by flies. Have lost count but that would easily be around 30-40 flies I have killed in 3 days. Something must have dies nearby or some food is rotting away. Can't smell anything unusual. Don't leave windows open.

Oh and I am about to pass out from all the fly spray.

It sounds like you trapped a fly that was carrying a lot of eggs.

These have now hatched and probably hanging out around the same area
