Sure Qantas. Cancelling a 7.45 pm departure on a Friday night from Auckland and substituting it for a 2.45pm departure instead is really convenient for a business trip. Not!

I trust you will be telling them EXACTLY what you think of their clever idea :D. I wonder what % of people would happily travel 5 hours earlier?

Means an overnight extended stay in NZ and very late arrival into Adelaide on Saturday. Who needs weekends? :(. I trust they will not charge a change fee! Then they might really find out.

"For your convenience we have cancelled your flight and popped you onto a flight that leaves smack bang in the middle of the working day".

Weird thing is that just 2 hours earlier he received an 'upgrade auction' offer for this very flight.

What's the date of the (cancelled) flight - if it is soon, then perhaps an unserviceable plane has thrown out the timetables? Yes, seems that 2 hours prior everything was still working...

You and MrP, or just MrP on the trip?

Still it'd be more effective if they fixed the fricken traffic light synchronisation. Being synchronised so that you get every red light is not the idea.
Synchronised lights are not what you want. Co-ordinated lights are (mind you, systems like SCATS can be used to co-ordinate you to get red lights!)

Next Friday. And now an hour wait on the phone.

Meatloaf is sick:

  • The singer was performing at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton
  • He collapsed while singing 'I'd Do Anything For Love' at around 9.40pm
  • A crowd of people were seen jumping on stage to help the rock legend
  • Authorities confirmed a patient was taken to hospital after 'fainting'

Here's hoping he survives this health scare.

What happens when I go offline while travelling in the LOTFAP??
I have 6 pages to catch up on
Seen many sights over the past few weeks but none as strange as this one

Felicia and I were dining in We-Ho and discovered that we were right beside the opening night of LA Pride. Decided to line up and go in for a few drinks and a dance (as you do). Most fun I've had in ages !!!

With a sneaky 777 thrown in on the side ;)

Totally delayed flight(one and half hours) back to Melbourne today due to really severe weather in Melbourne. In the QF club Adelaide. enjoying a few late night G & T"s less the T lol

Maths just annoys me. Like Trivia games. Loves_the_life will confirm that attending Trivia competitions onboard QM2 just made me a little antsy.

Didn't you only go to one :) And then got annoyed (justifiably) that the answer given by the cruise member was wrong?????
I don't like it when they are blatantly incorrect - just get frustrated.
I like Maths games though I say it's only to keep the grey cells going.

Yep. One was enough. Not next time though Dame.

On tipping flight crew in the US - never done it and never seen it done but I have read, on a number of occasions, about people taking Starbucks gift cards and giving them to crew or boxes of chocolates/ candy.

I took a stash of chocolate for the crew once but that was because a friend was crew on that flight and I knew I'd be spending time down in the galley so went bearing gifts. It was very well received.
