Fortunately I have the same thing. I may actually consume fewer calories while on hols, due to less snacking and more water, but I definitely exercise more - its all those steps to the tops of cathedrals or monuments that count! 900 steps up to the monastery at Mt Popa in Burma was my best single effort (and if JohnM comes in saying how I piked the Hyanu Pichu climb, I'll throttle him!) :)

My blood tests are always better following a holiday abroad - I've been trying to get Medibank Private to subsidise my hols, for the preventative health benefits, but so far they are resisting! :(

Myanmar you mean? Hasn't been called Burma in some time ;)

Went up Mt Popa 2 weeks ago. Got sick of hearing "donation for cleaning?" every couple of steps...

Nice work NAB. Online banking been down for last 3 hours on last day of financial year. On hold for 20 minutes and gave up.

Unfortunately gym sessions are a thing of the past limited to boredoom during high school lunch hours.

Left hip and knee are deteriorating rapidly. I will need to see a surgeon at some point. I don't want see a surgeon at any point. Losing weight may give me that chance. ;)

Loose anymore weight from that pencil thin figure you will disappear !!

Impressive. I never weigh until 2 weeks later as flying long distance = fluid retention.

Take one fluid tablet and peeeeee

I take them every day for high blood pressure. Still get swollen feet on planes. Even with socks. And yes its being checked out now. :p. Drs suddenly up the ante when you throw a random clot.

I'm comfortable with Burma. Aung San Suu Kyi still calls it Burma (don't know if that changed when she became 'leader'). She regarded 'Myanmar' as a construct of the Junta.

Given the amount of monkey cough on the stairs up Mt Popa I didn't mind parting with the odd khyat or two. :)

As I was told many times by ordinary Burmese people whilst we were in Burma Myanmar is the General's name for the country. We are Burmese people so to us the country is still Burma.
From then on I have continued to call it Burma.
As well as I travel Australia working in different hospitals I meet several Burmese doctors. They invariably say they are from Burma not Myanmar.

Ceylon Sapphires from Sri Lanka are my favourite stones.

I came back with a custom made white gold and pink sapphire ring after my trip and I'm thinking I will get a friend to pick me up an identical one but in the traditional blue when she's back later this year.

Dame. Milboo has given me ideas. Sri Lanka in April 2017.

Do it!!

There are some gorgeous properties to stay in! Arack coughtails beside infinity pools, butlers on hand, high tea...

Yep - we spent a month in Sri Lanka in 1985 - in the middle of the civil war - adopting our son. He and MrP went back on his 21st birthday. They bought me back a beautiful Ceylon sapphire ring.

Dame (Love_the_life) and I are back on the QM2 in April with a port stop in Colombo. Just time to go into the World Trade Centre and supplement.

MrP and I will be going back for a longer visit in the next couple of years.
