On a more non serious note... Staying in Lake Tekapo in New Zealand and never thought I would so love a heated bathroom floor... It is currently

Just for a small time, put some socks on and walk outside.

Then look Skywards, ...no not Emirates ;-)...but towards the sky.

If the evening is clear of clouds...

Then pop quickly back inside o refill glass and then return to enjoy the Stars ....The Stars ! I

I say again....The Stars.

(then again, if cloud is prominent...then enjoy the magnificent flickering of (hopefully) the fireplace :))

Happy Days

Risk could involve getting your FF account suspended or cancelled by blatant abuse of the terms and conditions.
Last night I booked a family member onto the QF suites business class where he travels one morning and back the next night. I was pleased I could use his points for his flights.

So for some reasons Medibank has decided to send my bill by email instead of by post for the last months. Checked my online account and everything ticked for postal correspondence.

Bit of a PITA to call up their Indian Call Centre, but I prefer a paper copy and don't like being behind in bills.

For some reason our water provider has decided they are too lazy to read the metre so just keep leaving a card in the letter box. They dont tick any of the reasons on the card for not doing the reading so I guess it must be laziness.

Nothing that wasn't obvious for the last decade.

nothing that wasn't obvious before they invaded. the report even highlights that they identified the risks beforehand. If someone like me was able to foresee that invasion was the wrong action, we can only wonder at the mental capacity of those responsible.

Meanwhile, I hear stories, via social media, of young soldiers committing suicide.

Probably employ the same staff as Australia Post and many other organisations.... tick, flick and ignore.

At least things haven't got this bad! Yodel delivery man throws man's package on his roof | Daily Mail Online

I did have an Aus Post delivery thrown over the back gate onto the driveway, and I was home at the time so there was no excuse...

We also got a card for the gas metre this week...do these people not realise they are being paid to actually do the job?

While getting to the bottom of booking F using VFF on SQ I noticed that the cost of ow or rtn to JFK vs Eur on SQ is only a few thousand more points.

So F rtn to JFK from Syd (via Sing & FRA) is 233,750 Krisflyer points + fees vs SYD/CDG rtn at 225,250 KPs + fees.

Shame I did not notice this before booking outward with EY (before enhancements) and inward with SQ (this morning the inward leg) for next June.

Would not have minded the extra hours on the A380 and the say week in the States for just 8,500 points extra.

Currently being tortured with two days of training for a new online system that is "so intuitive that no one will need to be trained". After sitting through the first two sessions, I agree....I'm bored senseless and have learned nothing that I couldnt have figured out for myself.

I've just received a 23 page document on how to use a letter tray.
At least it's not as long as the 96 page training document on how to scan something.

I'm concerned.

Have you put in a WHS claim for the danger you were exposed to?

How on earth can you not be permanently psychologically damaged by having had to use your letter tray before getting the 'how to use letter tray' document?

As a conscientious worker you would have printed out the scanning document (to avoid potential eye damage from looking into a light source for extended periods aka PC screen) and forgotten to pick it up off the printer and some kind fellow worker would have dropped it into your LETTER tray.

Years of counseling and pain & suffering ahead! Might be a six-figure settlement required.

My feeling is PH is filling in the gap left by Clive Palmer

A lot of people would argue that she and others are filling the gap left by the domination of the Senate by the major parties, thus losing the function as a house of review.

But then I'm old enough to remember Civics/government classes at age 14. Even if that was elsewhere.

Happy wandering

Agree or disagree with PH, Malcolm the Magnificent by declaring he would not be talking to PH has just told the greater unwashed that they no longer live in a democracy.
We should be up in arms he does not intend to have full senator representation in the house of review.

Apologies for OT.

Must be wrong!

After all why would common folk not vote for ALP/Greens/Libs?

I mean taking undisclosed illegal donations, rorting allowances, taking 1st class family holidays so they can have a 30 minute meeting, over-riding clear community concerns, hiding previously public info on tax paid/revenue of major 'donor' companies etc - that would not put people off voting for them would it?

Must have been out in the sun too long, after all it is Qld..

and while on about scams - one commentator pointed out that in QLD PH's party got more 1st pref votes than the Greens!

Amazing how the CSG issue didn't work for the Greens...

I seem to recall that somebody scammed the three major political parties of nearly 2 million 1st pref votes vs the 2013 election. When will the Federal Police be called to investigate?

Just imagining if Tony Abbot was still the Liberal Leader what the result would have been.

So we had chaos with the cross benches with last term and the Queenslanders elected for more chaos?
