Yes, all quite interesting stories. There's been at least 2 deaths also from guys I went to high school with - both communicated through the old boys network though. One of them was most certainly a front page news item IIRC, as it was a shark attack. Nasty way to go but hopefully quick and painless.

Supposed to be working from home today. The USB with all my work stuff has disappeared!
Well I thought it disappeared, actually it's in the TV after showing the family the latest travel pictures. Looks like I can't get out of work that easy.

Sounds like it's not encrypted then, bit risky given it has work 'stuff' on it...

One down, 45 to go....

Do you know (right now) how many different accounts etc you have set up with passwords, security questions, PIN numbers etc?

I suspect you may well do but 99.9% of population have no idea just how many they have spread across different email accounts, banks, ccs, utilities, subscription services, online FX, FF schemes (OK, so I only have 11 in my name plus 28 across the other 4 in our house), FlyBuys, WoW$, etc etc.

Even more fun trying to fix up for someone's who has had a severe right side stroke and cannot speak. Try setting up direct debit to pay their house' water bill. Only when I mentioned turning up with Current Affair (9 weeks into the process) did it happen despite multiple calls, emails and even a doctor's letter stating 'unable to talk,or walk bed-bound'.

One operator suggested, after taking call off recording, to get an elderly lady to call up with all the DOB etc details to pretend as that was the only way she could think of. After so many weeks of communications and emails (& Dr's letter) I decided that fraud was not the way to go.

Then again, why care about random incidents?
(that said, I'm used as a security blanket for many women on night buses in London. Really does surprise me, and I even chat to some of them (but not about why they chose the seat next to me))
It's good to keep track of random incidents. The time to worry is when patterns start to emerge in many random incidents.

Birdied the 13th hole yesterday to get back to 7 over and followed up with double bogey, double bogey, bogey, par and finish with double bogey. There were 3 shanks in those last 5 holes and a few earlier in the day. The harder I tried the worse it got.

Haven't stopped thinking about it. Normally I just write off as another wasted opportunity but a similar thing happened 2 weeks ago except it all started on the second hole. To both us. We were 5 shots in front in the B Grade foursomes championship and lost by 4 shots. Cold tops, duffs, shanks, lip-outs. Your opposition hits a shot through 22 trees and comes out the other side on the green. You laugh but inside you are crying. The more you think the worse it gets.

Oh well. More to life than worrying about how many times an hour you need to experience some sort of bad luck.

I love the 'not quite earned enough Status Credits'. Actually I earned zero! :)

Compared to a "personal page" I heard in the airport a few weeks ago (not the same airline).

"Paging Mr Citizen. You are the last passenger to board AnyAirline flight YY 123 to Hong Kong and are delaying the departure of this aircraft. Please proceed without delay to gate 66 - the process of offloading you and your luggage has commenced."

My grandmother had a severe fall that resulted in an acquired brain injury, so yet, I do know how hard it can be. Fortunately she had arranged for my mother to be power of attorney so she has been able to manage all of her affairs without too much difficulty.

Heard at SYD airport last Sunday week.

"Paging Mickeyc747 you are the last passenger to board the flight to the Gold Coast. Please proceed to gate immediately."

Or something like that. LOL. Not quite MIA but it's a small world. ;)

And how is Miss Daisy this evening - was she home alone today?
Yes she was alone today, in the bathroom with a tonne of toys and a radio on. Too small to go outside with Lola yet. She's doing very well though, getting a bit too cheeky already.

Residents of MEL will need to rug up tonight and tomorrow.

Partly cloudy. High (80%) chance of showers. The chance of hail and thunder. Possible snowfalls down to 300 metres tonight. Winds northerly 35 to 45 km/h turning northwesterly 35 to 55 km/h in the morning with stronger squalls.

If that is the same storm that hit the Perth and Adelaide areas it could still be quite damaging. Watch out for falling trees and downed power lines if it is.

One person died yesterday in Adelaide from falling tree. This storm is quite wicked this morning. Good luck Melbourne. Going to snow in the hills here today.

Sounds like a good day to mostly be working at home then. I have four hours of training close to home, so there was no point going to the office today. Means I can cuddle Daisy while I work :D

Well planned. :p

Other than review on a website of a "news" story does anyone know if this Pokemon Go is in airports?
Curious to hear if AFF becomes a Pokemon Go champion? from plane travel????

Normally I'd disavow any knowledge of something like Poke&Go, but 7:30 report snuck a report in which went for a minute or two before I switched over. (Apparently a couple of gormless mononeurones infatuated with chasing some electronic symbol on their phones). Already this morning reports of old fashioned baddies using the new technology to their benefit.
