I'm not into it and don't even have a compatible phone....but have a Pokemon Go corner in the Airport lounges to place the kiddies in? Win-Win???

Hope all Adelaide AFFers miss out on damage from the storms/winds/snow etc. Good day to stay home IMO.

Currently sitting in officeworks car park and me little car is being blown around. Its freezing! Reminds me of Melbourne.

One person died yesterday in Adelaide from falling tree. This storm is quite wicked this morning. Good luck Melbourne. Going to snow in the hills here today.

It was kinda ok at about 5am. Heaps of people waiting for the bus from the long term carpark at the airport. I just walked it as per usual. Bit of a delay taking off while they worked out which runway to use.

The storm is focussing on the Hills. We live in the foothills. Airport is due west. Good to hear its better down there as work travel required this afternoon.

It was nice and blowy all night out on the plains. I might have just got an ok window for my trip to the airport. Pilot claimed there was a 100 knot tailwind on the trip towards the east.

That'll get 'em there quick then!

We had a flight to Mel a few years ago in July. Very quick but with multiple stomach churning drops. Being July school holidays there was a girl's sports team onboard. I swear they screamed the whole way.

Annnnnd - another person posting their boarding pass to Facebook - Gr8 M8 - I didn't want to know your PNR

Only the 2nd day of the "let's bow down to the unions" emergency timetable on Southern trains and my levels of anger continue to rapidly rise. Yep, let's just cancel all the trains into London Bridge. You don't need to get to work anyway. That's fine you can reroute on the hot stuffy tube. Rant over.

Actually, it isn't just 'Let's bow down to the unions'. There are very interesting politics at play.

Another bit of useless trivia.

I am now my fathers age when I was half this age. Why is that on my mind?

International tribunal in The Hague rules for Philippines in case against China:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jul/12/philippines-wins-south-china-sea-case-against-china

The tribunal concluded that there was no legal basis for China to claim historic rights to resources within the sea areas falling within the ‘nine-dash line’

The verdict doesn't mean very much. That said, unlike Brexit, there is at least a person of severe conviction - the newly minted Filipino president - who will surely see to it that his country's victory in this case means something imperative and tangible. It'll be interesting how the negotiations (or lack thereof) with China will proceed as such.
