I reckon it's been stolen and dumped. Call 131 444 and report it.

That is what I thought. Car went an hour after I left a message. I have recorded the rego. I will pass on to crimestoppers as Neighbours went recently on Caravan holiday.

Maybe they were intercepted drink-driving?

Possibly but street is a secondary street and a interception would have been noticed by multiple family members, plus Police would not have left a car illegally parked.

This car just set off my instincts. My street is reality quiet but now and then a suspicious car/person is seen.

At a social even sometime in the last couple of years, an AFFer told us about the questions to ask about fixed camera detected speeding tickets. I now have the sad duty to try to ask those questions. :( But for $423 I sure am going to send a letter. Annoying bit is this was on a main road on which I would have been legal only a few years ago.

How much over medhead? I got caught on the freeway a couple of years ago doing 110 in an area that last time I was there was 110 but since reduced to 100. Annoying.

Which part of the freeway was that? I haven't driven MEL-ADL for a couple of years and would hate to be caught out next time I do.

I was 10 over on Portrush Rd coming up to the bottom of the freeway - Linden Park. (70 in a 60)

I'm pretty sure the tunnels are now a maximum of 100, but ISTR they were 110 at some stage. Up the top around Sterling seems to have changed as well, I think.

Tunnels are 90. And speed limit reduced on the down track because a truck driver was doing 150k and had an awful accident at the bottom. Now you need to sit on the brakes a little to stick to 90 downtrack.

I got a ticket on King William Rd a few years back. I was tootling along at 60km but it was apparently 50kmh (my fault as I obviously did not see the sign). It was a work trip and I was on the way back from Berri. Turns out Mr L-t_L got a ticket there as well when he was based in SA back in 2003.

Oh yeah. That is a real trap there. Every other parallel road into the city is 60 up to South Terrace. Also there is a red light camera near Adelaide Oval. You will see it flash all the time while waiting at the lights. And how many accidents there? None. Total revenue raising.

I use low gear on the down track, As that truck should've been doing. Can easily stick to 90 in 3rd with no pedal input.

Sure. But try negotiating other cars that continually break. Your strategy works well when not busy though.

I generally find other cars are going faster than me, guess I'm the one they need to negotiate. ;) Been a few months since I've been on the freeway.

The best extra I have on my car is a radar detector which is still ok to have in Perth. Have all 12 points intact and it would save about $2,000 a year. Fines are not tax deductible so the saving is almost $4,000 in pre-tax dollars which is sweet.
