Similar issue on a car with less than 1K on the clock, tyre shop said if the nail was 1cm to the left it had to be replaced ... has to be something to do with low profile tyres.. i am guessing

If it's beyond where the sidewall begins (internally) they can't repair it. Irrespective of low profile or not.

Saw Matilda tonight. I am in awe of the 9 year old who pretty much carried the show. She is just 7 years older than my zany niece. Unbelievable.
we saw Matilda last year and I was so impressed by all the young people. Although the Trunchbull was pretty good as well. We just loved the Roald Dahl books - Mr FM and I used to fight over whose turn it was to read to the kids when it was one of his books :)

Yes mine are also low profiles. Fortunately when I had the new tyres fitted earlier this year, I kept one of the old set, as it was relatively new compared with the other three. Worst case it can be redeployed.

In Los Angeles our Nissan Sentra was dwarfed by a big new Rolls Royce parked next to us. We are surrounded by all sorts of luxury brand cars but I was happy with the Argus/Enterprise combo.Enterprise were really good even though we did the hire via a trawler site.

Love it when a great plan comes together eh Dame the Older (love_the_life). Dubai sorted, cruise sorted (sans stateroom allocation) and now just Singapore. A380 on Emirates out in J and F (shall we beg for an upgrade for you Dame?) and so far one of us out on Emirates J.

Just been on phone to my mother - it's her 94th birthday today. She had to call me back a couple of times as she was interrupted by other phone calls while I was talking to her. Had visitors for lunch and others during the day so hopefully will get a rest now. She's amazing really, still in her own home and doing everything herself. That's an advantage of living in a country town as there is always someone keeping an eye on her.

We feel a little out of it here as the people upstairs have a Roller and a Ferrari (brand new).

They say you can't choose your family, and my siblings are proof. Because I can't imagine why anyone would choose to associate with these people.
I've tried bloody hard not to for several years.
Eventually I'll be free.

That doesnt sound good GarrettM. I am blessed with a great family. Although early on they tried my patience.

For the past couple of years I've been encouraging frogs to take up residence in the goldfish pond by my front door. Lots of taddies went on to get their legs and hop out, but I think the resident bluetongue was dining well. I'd hear a frog for maybe an hour, or one night every now and then and then it would go all quiet ...

Well, I was happy to hear one start its call about a month ago and keep it up. Then there was a second. Now there's 3 or 4.

... and I'm over it!! Bloody loud little baskets, just never stop from dusk to dawn.

I don't iron at all, never have. Anything I own which needs ironing gets outsourced to the dry cleaners and Shrek irons his own stuff or similarly outsources it.

I don't iron at all and don't buy clothes that need ironing. Things get hung up on hangers straight from washing machine.

Have not owned an iron for over 15 years.

Strange car at the front of my joint. Quiet street, so easy to know which cars aren't locals. Car parking permit indicates it comes from a street about 2kms away. Car is nearly a metre away from the kerb and not parallel to the kerb. Lots of cough in the car like empty beer bottles and what looks like some type of electronic gear without its casing, plus a big bag of dog food the rear hatch.

Did a rego check and is registered.

Don't know if I should call the cops or wait till morning.

We have an ironing service in Perth that picks up and returns the ironed clothes. I tend to buy Nordstrom house brand shirts that don't really need to be ironed.

I reckon it's been stolen and dumped. Call 131 444 and report it.
