Oh. What if the drought breaks on your wedding day? 

Or if there is thunder and lightening just as the vows start?

And bees wax is dripping down from the entrance archway on the way out?

Nothing like a 39 degree day to get married...

On a similar topic to Pushka's, the daughter of a friend had her handbag stolen early last year from her home. Silly girl was in the shower with the front door unlocked.
Anyway a few weeks ago she got a text message from a chap who was doing some work in the neighbourhood to say he had found a bag buried under about 30cm of soil. His grandmother lived quite close so he dropped it off there. The bag was complete except for money. Thieves didn't realise that there was an expensive ring that she had been given by her parents in the bag and it was still there. Not sure why the guy didn't take the bag to the police but amazing that it turned up again.
The other week I found an wallet with money/cards etc in the gutter when on a walk. I dropped it off at the local police station and they were going to contact the interstate owner. Guess it was his lucky day.

I found a wallet stuffed full of cash in our local Foodland. I handed it to the counter but never heard them make an announcement. Guess they were waiting for someone to ask about - only works if they knew where they dropped it.

I once found a wallet that washed out of the storm drain when we had one of those massive downpours. No cash but all cards; called the owner who was very happy to get it back regardless, and despite the fact it had been missing for quite some time.

A couple of months ago, we noticed that hubbys gym bag was missing from the back of his ute, which means someone came onto our property, walked down the driveway about 10mtrs, opened the rear cab to get the bag.

I hope the thief really enjoyed putting his hand into the bag to find a pair of sweaty, wet speedos (long jammers).

We were burgled in the lead up to to Christmas a fair few years ago and all the thieves took was the VHS recorder (in the days when people had them). Neither I nor Mr L_t_L realised we'd been broken into for quite a few hours. Why? Well the video didn't actually work and each of us thought the other had taken in to be repaired. We kept expecting to come home and find the recorder left on the front door step! :)

Had multiple items stolen from my car park in a building, most recently an old shower head I had been storing in a zip bag. Other things were my overhead car rack and bike ( locked). The Zip bag was open hence why I noticed.
Several years ago found a wallet full of cash in a carpark outside of McDonalds Karratha. I was able to do some sleuth work and find the person who had lost it. Person was very happy indeed.
