Pfft, that's not west.

Let's just say that when I was there a couple of weeks ago, I went to Mt Gambier for lunch.

That's west!
I like that. Cousins from the UK somehow had the impression that when we said that MrL_t_L's sister lived west of Melbourne she lived near Perth!
Brother was married in Hamilton and lived in Portland for quite a while. I remember the family driving there from northern Victoria when he was there. It was a few years back now :)
That area (if you could pop over to Mt Gambier) is way out west!

Just because the beer is cheap doesn't mean it's not drinkable.

Now 7-Eleven has been ripping me off. The sticker price is 38 baht yet the cash register is charging 39 baht. Should I complain?
So you think the beer should be $1.446 AUD and they charging you $1.484 AUD, so almost 4 cents extra. I would have though you have bigger issues to deal with than the rounding up of 4 cents.

If you said your were going to be my neighbor in Albany I might consider that west...
Real west is Port Augusta (or maybe Capetown :cool:)

Hope the move is happy wandering (even if it is not really west)

Well, west in a Victorian sense. ;)
So our EA 'missing wallet for 11 years' has gone international!
And they took photos from her Facebook page!

Did they ask permission?

Did you miss the humour in my post? ;)

Not at all. She emailed me first thing this morning and was extremely surprised about the Facebook photos.

Those are public photos on Facebook (Profile and Cover photos). You can pretty much expect anything that's public to be used freely by the media without requiring permission.

Yes - I figured something like that. I guess news.com.au wouldn't let them use the photos they took. My facebook picture is one I took of the Eiffel Tower. I am so boring. :p

MrsGM bought a little slide to digital file converter from Aldi yesterday. So I've been going through dad's slides from the mid to late 60s. Never seen any of them before, and as far as I know they haven't been looked at by anyone in decades.

Some remarkable stuff so far, although obviously mostly only of personal interest. But at least a couple pics from a visit to the Albany whaling station back when it was still operating. Eye opening.
