No, I don't agree, excess consumption of alcohol is definitely not an excuse, in particular doing something as stupid as this in a country that doesn't share the same relaxed attitudes to alcohol as we do (whether we agree or not with their rules is beside the point). If this had been in Saudi, who knows what the outcome would be, public flogging perhaps?
<snip>.

Apart from the fact that Saudi:

* doesn't have a Formula 1 event;

* doesn't allow tourists

* doesn't allow consumption of alcohol (well, sort of)

... a public flogging probably would have been a good result!

OK, I get your point, probably not a very good comparison, maybe I should have used Abu Dhabi as an example, do they do public floggings there?

So Google just did something really stupid..... Released a $1469 phone....
NOT "OK GOOGLE"!

"The Association of Flight Attendants (AFA)—a union made up of roughly 50,000 workers, 83 percent of them women—has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. "

And, it's not just cos' she's a girl. Trump's many bankruptcies did not impress USA airlines employees apparently.

While I am not particularly fond of the choices in the USA election, consider the following with respect to the arguments about Mr. Trump's tax methodology.

His accountants (and presumably he) has read the tax rules and commentaries. As a result he has acted in a way which provides the most beneficial outcome for his financial situation. Other people complain he gets too many benefits.

Members of AFF read the rules put out by the airlines and the commentaries of the bloggers and other members. AFF members act in a way to maximize their personal benefits. Kettles wonder why and how the elite get their benefits...

Moral: If you don't know the rules, don't play the game.

Happy wandering (to find the rule book)

However, if you worked for someone who goes into bankruptcy multiple times thereby not paying the many workers for their work done or their super etc, it may be a different thought. Many tradies get caught up in this bad behaviour. Those people affected have no way of "playing by the game" as you say.

Any different - of course it is. You ever seen the map of Tassie on a bikini ? Nope, didn't think so. That isn't a true blue Aussie flag them.

I think if you can see the map of tassie you're not wearing the bikini correctly.....

:shock:

The poor boys who due to error in judgment pubilcally are now being attacked by our Australian government. Malaysia and swim wear. May I remind Bishop that these same Malaysians can get away with a lot in Australia. Without any incidents. My Rant completed

Australia and Malaysia are not the same country.

If you break a law in Malaysia you pay the price and vice versa.

Ralph ....... not even a streaker on the oval has repercussions.

Bishop should remind Malaysia how laid back we are! Narcotic selling is not a crime punishable by death in Oz. For example ..... a huge difference don't u agree.

And she does not need to make their position worse just imagine it was u!

If you were there would you like the Australia government being behind u or actively against u? It's that simple.

Not all of us can change the rules to benefit themselves like those proposed by Trump.

Marki you must realise what she is publicly saying to Malaysian officials may not be what she is saying privately.
Just remember the famous Paul Keating clash with Malaysia.He had to issue a public apology even though that is not what he believed and later on the Malaysian PM said he really wasn't upset by the remarks.But you have to act tough in Malaysia.
The Malaysians have a track record at being upset when things aren't going particularly well for them politically.

But ask yourself why the majority of the 1%ers in the US are publicly speaking out for and funding HC.
If you believe it is because they are as pure as the driven snow then I have 50 bridges for sale.
They know they will do much better with her at the helm.In 2015 the 1%ers got 91% of the increase in incomes that year under Obama compared with 65% in 2007 under GWB.

That isnt exactly relevant. We have different laws here.

That sounds very naive.

Or you've given up on the waxing :lol:

Way, way too much info!! As i said elsewhere, a week or two in jail, will be appropriate (from the Malaysian point of view) and then deportation. No sympathy for this bogan type behaviour from me.
