Mum's property inspection came back with only the little electrical concerns we were aware of, and now the buyers want to bring forward settlement if possible.

Looks like the week will end on a positive note after I started out feeling extremely pessimistic about this sale. Remarkable.

Although MrsGM is experiencing some sort of serious dental pain at the moment, so maybe that's where the bad news will come from.

Two things to ease any pain - Panadeine Extra and Ca$h.

Just told my husband that I ordered 226,000 Chilean pesos.

He freaked out about why so much and then I told him it was only $500AUD

Probably the left-overs from the other states which had been in frozen storage in Adelaide for years. They defrosted last week so had to be used ....

I was being kind
Did you sort your leaking roof yet?

Well this rattler of a dehumidifier is currently going gang busters. Insurance claim approved but have to get roof repaired at own cost - a rusted out vent was the issue. Why the F the roof people didn't remove it when we replaced the roof a few years ago beggars belief.

Then the damaged ceiling is cut out and new ceiling installed and painted.

Where we are today is a result from a series of decisions throughout our life. On/off switches if you like. Some more straight forward than others.

If I had taken up the job offer from Astre in May 2002 I would more than likely not have worked for Intentia in February 2003 and in April 2003 would not have worked on the Bluescope data migration project if the Thai expat refused to travel back to Thailand so often as she had a young family.

Where would I have been had that simple decision been the opposite? Is it possible to see the result in a parallel universe? Too deep huh? That's what happens when you lay awake at night and cannot sleep.

JohnK just watch a bit of scifi and relax. Just remember life isn't a dress rehearsal.

She needs a root canal the poor thing. Luckily private insurance should cover a chunk of the cost. But it's still a big whack of cash.

Nothing productive comes from that line of thinking. Although I'll admit to doing it too.
