Anchor point? See how much I know about baby car seats? Hope this anchor point comes with the baby car seat. Local mechanic?

The maternity department of hospitals will know who can correctly fit baby capsules. 15 years ago at RNSH the guy would visit every week.

Car is 1999 Ford Falcon Forte sedan.

Looking at that website Infasecure Kompressor II only 3 stars but no mention of Infasecure Kompressor 4 series.

Going totally OT.Reminded again of birds memory.around the unit in Whyalla I am staying at are many magpies. Most females have a chick but one has 2 chicks and often looks exasperated.just before I left last time there were quite a few grasshoppers around so I caught a few and fed those 2 chicks.mum seemed appreciative. When I arrived back mum and her 2 chicks were virtually outside the door as I left. They prepared to fly off but the chicks then obviously recognised me and came running to me squarking.sadly I needed to work and no insects around.

Hi JohnK,

You are going about it the wrong way!.

In whatever city your car is in just google search baby seat/capsule or child restraints fitting

Here is one in Sydney:
Child Safety Car Seats & Car Booster Seats Sydney

Take the guesswork out of it and let them sort out the fitting. They sometimes also supply the baby seat/capsule, check your car's anchor points.

Have a look at the FAQ - all the info you need is there

Here is BNE specific:

We have about 6 baby magpies that mum has finally kicked out of the nest but we've throw left over bread and fruit thats about to turn on the lawn so like most teenagers, they are not inclined to leave home yet.

They dont like the solar lights my husband has on the lawn, they often attack a particular one.

Well I'm rooting for the Cubs in today's final game of the World Series.

There will be a party in both Cleveland and Chicago tonight regardless of the outcome but go Cubbies!

I was reading that some tickets are going to $5K for 2 tickets, which is the price of a home deposit in Cleveland.

As a North Sydney Bears supporter my heart is with the Cubs.

2016 will go down as the year of fairytales drron!

Leicester City, Western Bulldogs, Cronulla Sharks, Bangladesh beat England in cricket, Australian cricket team whitewashed twice and now the Chicago Cubs.

But the most important fairytale of the lot. I became a father for the first time at 52!

The last 12 months have been annus horribilis for me. Starting the week before Christmas with death of my mum. That was the start. Am toasting to the New Year on a cruise ship off Bali so hoping for better times ahead.

Yes. Not a very good year for you and my wife might feel the same. Life is depressing.

I'm not depressed. cough happens. Best just to reflect and get on with it and have another champagne.

I don't know if this should go here or on the "General Medical Issues" thread. :D
My Lab Jimmy saved a life today by being an emergency blood donor for a critically ill dog. Vet rang me when I was at work to ask if he could donate.

He's now sporting the shaved leg and shaved neck look and got some extra treats for dinner tonight :)

I recall the dogs have to be a certain size - minimum blood volume I suppose. So chihuahua will never qualify

Is your dog registered with vet as transfusion donor?

He isn't registered but he goes to doggy day care at his Vet on Thursday so just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
The Vet knows I'm a doc so would have an easier time explaining it all to me I think. They rang me at work to ask.
A critically ill dog had been rushed in with pyometra and profound thrombocytopenia and anaemia who required an emergency hysterectomy.

When my friends malamute was very, very sick,he was getting blood transfusions and apparently a lot of staff allow their dog to be blood donors. Saved his life.

Animal blood donors was something I've never once thought about previously.
