SA is pretty much a $ sponge off the Federal Govt GST handout yet our premier weatherill keeps yapping and demanding things like we are actually contributing.

Did my first walk in months. I use to walk to work a couple of times per week (5klms) but that stopped about May so today I managed a 40mins walk, up the big hill and back home.

Hope to do it again tomorrow, take it a day at a time.

Good on you Denali.

Following medical advice (and a friend on this forum), I try to walk 150 mins per week for exercise.

(That's 30 mins per day, 5 days per week). You do feel better for it. It is very easy to live a sedentary life in this modern age.

You know any exercise is good for you, even exercise when doing work around the house.

You are lucky with the weather, Melbourne is pretty good for walking, flat and no humidity.

I did a 5km run around Albert Park Lake on Saturday, I felt good at the time, I didn't properly get over my last cold and paying for it now.

Friends keep saying, no not AFF types say flying is bad for you.

Lets hope I am mostly better by Saturday.

Saw a bunch of women 65+ all dressed oddly alike in either white pants or skirt with bright floral shirt in the CBD this morning. All quite la-di-da and painfully unaware of how loud their voices were in the lift. On the ground floor there were hordes more. Sure enough they entered the 'secret door' that gives access to Adelaide's Adelaide Club.

My sister is a member of some weird womens social group, they all wear purple outfits and wear red hats. Looks ridiculous but they seem to enjoy themselves.

ATO site is down

Melbourne has become complaint central with its choked up arterial roads. When you have a downturn with the car industry folding and the aluminum smelter teetering you may find your State Government banging on about having no funds to do big infrastructure. Your State has already spent the gambling taxes and land taxes so it looks like toll roads will proliferate.

It's a funny state of affairs in the DPRV.

Popular politics has once again stood in the way of good policy. I am really disappointed in our recent state governments on both sides, and the media as well actually. Some of their irresponsible reporting has swayed public opinion away from facts to an emotive argument voiced by loud minority groups.

The result is billions down the drain, and very real traffic and transit problems are not being addressed.

According to Expert Flyer and VA, there are only 2 available Y seats in the entire Y cabin for our 23rd Dec flight to Perth.

SO glad we're in J!

Looking at Melb apartments this Saturday. Gulp.

Look but don't touch!

Given apartment completions for the next three years it looks like a re-run of what happened in 1990-1993 is on the cards....

Whole brand new build Prime Collins St office tower sold for 40% of build cost and zero land value by bank after developer went under with no leasing done...

Certainly buyer be aware...

Sadly not buying but renting. But probably a good thing. This will be a 12 month testing thing.
