Ok some advise please, we finally started packing for our trip leaving on Wednesday but it is the first time with an infant (he is just 1 month now), what should we definitely not forget to pack/take? The baby is number one on my list :shock:

SWMBO thought I was crazy when I suggested taking 50 nappies but I think I'll just put them in the hand luggage anyway spread across roll-aboards and backpacks just in case the suitcase goes walkabout

the in-laws have 3 big boxes ready for when we get there

Absolutely!
Took my boy , about 2, to ZA for a family trip. Mum followed a few days later. Serious nappy issues right on re-boarding in PER (to JNB)(747-200 days). People will always be helpful, but have lots of nappies/ clean T-shirt for Mum and Dad.
And noiseville happens sometimes, although at 1 month, hopefully baby will settle after a little while.

Once had a parent in business hand out a chocolate to the psgrs nearby, saying "sorry for the noise".

Be prepared to throw clothes away if baby has a blow out or vomit. Just toss them, buy new. Change of clothes for yourself.

Nappies, nappies, nappies.

Are babies that young allowed to take baby panadol or similar? If yes, then carry just in case and hope you dont need.

If baby uses a dummy or bottle, have extra as you will drop them, maybe lose it and baby might not take a different brand.

Had another look .......Just from looking at the information on the net it would seem to me that the most telling information against Whitehead’s claims is the failure of Curtis to use it in his court action against the Wrights. It is to be remembered that that this decision was made at a time when the potential witnesses were all available and the events were not all that far in the past.

If it were not provable then the chances of it being reliable information are very smal

In your carry on - Multiple changes of clothes for him. At least one change of clothes for you (exploding poos, wees, and vomits happen at the worst times).
Dummies, and a dummy strap (no 2 second rule on aeroplane floors). Wraps - you may want to use wraps for your own bedding layer over the infant crib on the planes. Wouldn't worry too much about toys for him at this age.

Baby wet wipes. Spare T shirts. Muslin wraps. Scarf to cover up multiple spills. Patience. . Any favourite toys to be on a 'leash'.

Also, breastfeeding on take off, descent and pretty much anytime in between will usually help keep bub calm and happy.

doctor advised us to take some, they can have them from 4 weeks, so I got some on the weekend

good tip on the dummy strap, planes are filthy!

I saw spotlight had some really soft muslin wraps at great prices. You could throw away as needed and they have so many issues.

Last flight I remember a almost newborn on long or medium haul was in Y, didnt hear a peep out of the bub and yeah, I totally wanted to hold her but thats kinda creepy so I kept to myself but I really wanted to hold her!

Are you flying J or Y?

At that age, most probably all she'll want to do is nurse and sleep - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on lots of the later.

Maybe have a shirt that mum can open so baby can get a bit of skin to skin if she/he needs the comfort.
