So you suggest this is a possible recipe for a long marriage?
Maybe they were horsing around all that time?

As an ex public servant I do take a little exception to the last line of the joke. Our section had a lot of interaction with our clients and we went out of our way to provide the highest level of assistance and service. Not all PS can be tarred with the same brush.
Yes I know it's a joke and I know it's not necessarily meant to be correct and I am certainly not upset over the jokes, but it does perpetuate a view held by some (many?) Australians that public servants are lazy/on easy street/do nothing all day etc etc. Most people have no idea of the kind of work that goes on in a department officeNo they can't, but many can. that said, I really think it is just a joke and not meant to be taken seriously.
if you didn't like that joke, you probably won't like this one either.
Q: Why don't Public servants look out of the window in the mornings?
A: because it would leave them nothing to do in the afternoons......
it's all in good fun, just like lawyer jokes (he he)

..an excerpt from the classic joke:
What are the three most worn lies?
1) Of course I'll respect you in the morning!
2) The cheque's in the mail!
3) I'm a public servant can I help you!
Bored nowPerhaps I needed to put the OP in this format...
BTW - I was a public servant at several stages. I certainly know what work goes on in the two depts I worked for and how much political wrangling went on over office sizes, throw rugs and PC specs.

Is it tomorrow you have open house BC? If so, hope it goes well. I know you said you were going to be busy preparing for dinner guests (?). Victoria might be a bit different from here but whenever there is an open house, the owners are not there at all, only the agent showing the prospectives through.

Are you still drinking? Give it up. It's not like you drink real alcohol anyway....FebFast - Too much water in your blood alcohol system
.... Go Danny. Not that I watch the 'sport' but hopefully a TKO and that's the last we hear of Mundine in the media.......
Probably will not take notice - though your are right, if it means the media tires of Mundine, it can't be all bad, can it?
Who's Danny? Shows how much I follow the 'sport'.
Great night for a pugilist battle on Adelaide Oval and all the underworld here to watch. Go Danny. Not that I watch the 'sport' but hopefully a TKO and that's the last we hear of Mundine in the media. Is the match getting airplay interstate?
Hardly anything. Well it's just a grudge match.
Did the promoter pull some random Irish Traveller on a 457 visa off the street?
