JohnK I do remember a pie manufacturer working hard to keep the bacteria level low enough so they could ship their production out the door. As a result I don't try discounted hot meals.

Sounds like he's resolved a long term legal issue for you. What would someone have to do get a good bottle of wine?

I'd imagine QF WP keeps some decent bottles in that part of his wine rack. "mid to lower" is not necessarily an indication of quality.

I do believe that they were both genuine mistakes re: the date. But still annoying from my point of view.

Maybe yes and maybe no. When people get sick of missing out at auctions they have been known to 'mistake the inspection date' so they can get an early look and make an offer before the real process begins...

Have heard people discussing it too loudly on mobile phones on the bus...

That would mess with my eating properly. I'd be really hungry eating then and so eat more. Then want an evening meal. Not that I eat hot meals at lunchtime.

We have had multiple offers and we aren't in the market to sell yet. We live in a tiny suburb apparently with the best public schools in Adelaide. Primary and Secondary and enrollments closed to all but residents. Very tempting.

At home we regularly get offers despite the fact we both agree we are leaving in a box.
And I certainly hope it's many years before that happens.
